So sad...wishing him a full recovery. I don't wish that kind of pain on anyone.

Likewise on wishing JMac, one of the absolute legends, a full recovery and happy retirement....but happy for Mike, one of the good guys.

This is really rough. Wishing him all the best. Hope ND can continue on its path to resurgence.

A bad back almost made Kerr resign at golden state. Sad news, great coach

Wish him the best.
Unfortunate for ND. They have a lot of great recruits committed right now that did so because of JMac.

If your ND and the investment you’ve made in JMac and bringing to South Bend, do you create some type of consulting / true director of volleyball operations ( not the current Dovo role but something bigger)? Allowing to care for himself and still be involved?

Bittersweet news. My prayers for Jim on a full recovery! I have been such a big fan of his for many years and sad that health precludes him from impacting student athletes in the way he wants to. My heartfelt congratulations to Mike as the new head coach. I agree with Jim he is one of the good guys and a great teacher of the game.

"While I work to get my back issues resolved...while I am working to get back to full health..."
Sounds like he isn't saying goodbye to coaching.

Wish him the best. Unfortunate for ND. They have a lot of great recruits committed right now that did so because of JMac. If this puts Meuth back on the table for 2019, some program is going to get star very late in the game.

Meuth was considering Wisconsin at one point.
