I have saw her play in Florida last year at the AAU when they placed in the top ten for Team Canada then at Oklahoma at the HP championships when they took bronze. I was at both tournaments following my niece who they beat. I watched all of her games I just wished I filmed them. I was excited to see her name for the Wahine. Her level in Oklahoma was unreal. As a point of reference of her current level, is there any player to whom you would compare her in terms of skills and/or ability? Well I'm just aunt of another player. she was named an all star at the tournament. www.teamusa.org/USA-Volleyball/Events/Results/2018-Results/2018-HP-Indoor-Awards-PhotosScroll down and you will find her. God bless

The best player on this team is Iosia, so why is everyone criticizing the girl? Seriously, who else can do better? Granato was really disappointing her senior season, and so was Castillo. So why is everyone getting down on Iosia? I just keep reading people commenting that Iosia is really not that good a setter. Does not set the Middles, has not lived up to the hype, etc. That is all I am saying. If you are saying that Iosia was the best player on the Wahine team this past year, I totally agree with you. I predict, Iosia will show people why she was one of the best setters coming out of high school, next year. It would not surprise me if she gains All-American status as a Setter, next year, also.

So why is everyone getting down on Iosia? I agree, Granato had a really disappointing senior season. Was looking for her to have a TMO kind of senior season. If she had come close to having a TMO kind of senior season, the Wahine may have won the BWC. But instead, Granato tended to disappear in Big Matches. If there was a Most Disaappoint Senior Season Award, it would have gone to Granato. She was the one player, who did not improve as the season went along. Whereas, other players did.

The wahine will pick up a couple transfers. Robyn said she gets 100s of emails about people wanting to come. We will see if we can land an impact transfer. Hopefully a setter and Pin, with possibly a libero. hope she doesn't waste scholarships on players that have some sort of connection to her unless they are a stud and are only one-dimensional players. Anyways Robyn did say that she did get over 100s of emails wanting to come yet we ended up with Liva and Gaskin which means thats the best we could get and probably most of they were way worse and D2,D3 material, Not good I'm starting believe RAMS can't recruit impact players that can change the program around but its still early so don't bash me for saying that. Yall new Hawaii posters on this board are annoying and I really wish you would leave. K thanks

Thanks for re- posting. I’ve been looking for this! She looks like a dynamic player hopefully she will turn out to be a Hartong type of player instead of a Waber 2.0. Hehehe jk. Wow. Throwback to Michelle Waber, but correct me if I'm wrong. Michelle Waber was converted from a MB to an OH. Not everyone will excel at being converted to an OH from being a MB like Emily Hartong, take Maja Gustin - she wasn't the same when returning to her original position.

Does anyone have thoughts about maybe moving Skylar Williams to OPP? Keeping both Westerberg, and Igiede, in the Middle. Skylar Williams does seem to have the athletic ability, and quickness, to play OPP. I am just not sold, just yet, on Westerberg playing OPP.

She did pretty good as an OH this year, and she had a very good year in the back court IMO. I'm not nearly as down on her as some of you.

Waber played both positions in high school. But I think she was a better outside than she was at middle blocker. I thought she was ok, not bad. But then she had to leave, to be with her family. If she had stayed, she probably would've been a great player at Hawaii.

I would not say hitting .180 as having a pretty good year, especially for a Senior, and your supposedly Go To Hitter. I do agree though, she did improve in her back court play.
