I can see that but... Xu is gonna be there when she’s there so... I’m just confused on that decision... like there’s gonna be a setter there in front of you in both cases. Also just out of curiosity how is Miner better than cabello? What makes her a better setter? Xu is a class above cabello, and xu is not being redshirted this year so kami will have a minimum of 2 years at setting. Miner is the most athletic prep setter in the last couple years, her ceiling is higher than most

I know most of what has happened in recruiting recently leads us all to assume that elite setter prospects choose their school based on the depth chart and wanting to be a starter all 4 years (without redshirting); I'm sure that applies to the majority, but not all. And, of course, so many other factors in selecting a school than just the depth chart.
Based on the comments I'm reading:
- Both Xu (2019) and Miner (2021) are better than Cabello (2020) - Miner won't go to Texas because Cabello will already be there (even though Kami has been selected over her in the last couple of USA summer tryouts) - Miner will go to Stanford and battle it out with Xu for the starting setter spot for at least 2 seasons

Then she will have 3 seasons

Anybody know what schools Brooklyn Borum is considering? I have heard rumblings of the Badgers recruiting her. I have my fingers crossed.

it doesn’t make sense to me though that she would choose Stanford over Texas if Texas was her dream school and especially if she’s better than cabello... then beat her at the starting setting position...

How do people even know Texas was her dream school? From my sources it was more of a coach that she wanted to get coached by who is now retired.

I don't think anyone ever stated Texas was her dream school.... if ur dream school wants you, you would go there. Stanford is her dream school is what vast majority have heard

Prepvolleyball basically just confirmed Miner will be the #3 Senior Ace for her class Wait what "Redondo was without their two supreme stars, Nalani Iosia, no. 16 Senior Ace and top libero in the country, and Kami Miner who will be a top three Senior Ace next year" (also find it funny Prepvb doesn't know there own rankings Nalani is 17)
