More often than not, either a pin or middle gets the #1 spot, but I feel if the class was ranked today, the number one spot would go to Orr. She's a special setter. It's crazy that both her and Miner are in the same class. They would each be the best setter prospect in a lot of other years.

Ya I agree 2021 has some really physical pins but the way Orr moves the ball around and Miners athleticism are so so rare in a setter

So who do u all think is the top in each position ?
Setters - Kami miner / kennedi Orr are above the rest of the field. Orr better as of right now but miner is more athletic...
Liberos - emery dupes and Eleanor beavin, beavin plays up in pnk 17s, dupes for A5. Both insane
I know some of the hitters in 2021 but not enough to make truly opinionated lists... what do u all think ?

Honestly, if they were rated today, I wouldn't be surprised if Orr, Krause, and Rodriguez, were the number one setter, OH, and libero, respectively. Of course, Batenhorst will be in the mix at OH so well. I don't just say that as a Husker fan, but am pleased nonetheless. I think Francis is the number one middle in that class today, with Jordyn Williams in the mix.

Rodriguez is good and I’m not saying she isn’t at all. But these 2 are currently at a higher level. for beavin, she isn’t as quick as dupes, but her ability to make last second movements before the hitter hits the ball and end up sight where the ball is going is the best I’ve seen from any 16s player. Not to mention the location of beavins digs are very often dropped right on the setters head, even when the hitter absolutely lights her up. Dupes is athletically and defensively very good and extremely quick. Just click the vid below. watch this video of emery dupes and tell me Rodriguez is better

All I see is one hand saves and dives

She plays for A5 16-1 if you wanna watch their matches you can see some game time vid. The game vs tstreet she had a ton of digs / passes

SPRI has Lexi passing 2/3 the court in their regular formation and graded her out at 2.7. When they won Nationals last year, I had a Big Ten coach say to me, "That little jitterbug is the best player in this tournament." He didn't qualify it by saying "best libero". Lexi's quickness and range are unbelievable and she drops dimes consistently.

If Lexi is indeed walking on (I don't know about her recruitment specifically) and she outplays either Megan and/or Kenzie, give her the spot if/when the other wins it back

Whoever earns it, plays. I was just suggesting Lexi may not be PROJECTED to start her freshman year just because she is a walk on which mean 1 or 2 ds are on scholarship. But that doesn’t mean she can’t start or won’t. Some players are recruited and expected to start as a freshman by the coaching staff.

Both insane I know some of the hitters in 2021 but not enough to make truly opinionated lists... what do u all think ? I like the setters on this list and would add Kalissa Green and Julia Bishop who are both uncommitted (Green plays for A5 and Bishop for MI Elite). Liberos along with Alexis Rodriguez and Sydney Taylor are IMO really outstanding and easily the top 4 (im sure there are others who are amazing but im just blanking.) Hitting wise is where its tougher because there are a lot of outstanding hitters. Im gonna say 5 for each position who I think are the best AT THIS POINT IN TIME . I am not basing this off of potential (in no specific order): OH: Lindsey Krause, Ally Batenhorst, Jessica Smith, Charitie Luper, Mabrey Shaffmaster RS: Sami Francis (I believe thats where she's been playing the majority for club), Jordan Iliff, Kaylee Cox, Liv Kennedy, Rachel Fairbanks (also a setter but I like her hitting) MB: Jordan Williams, Jacque Boney, Cimone Woodard, Regan Hope, Kaitlin Smith

Krause likely top in this class. They usually go for those top 6 rotation prospects. Orr or Miner right behind. Miner to Minnesota?
