One scholarship has to go to another Setter. The other scholarship needs to go to another Outside Hitter, to back up, often injured, Jolie Rasmussen.

In 2021, we will have four scholarships opened with Williams, BVS, Hanawahine, and Rasmussen graduating. I believe Mia Johnson could be the first scholarship recipient, unless we got another recruit with two left. If this is 2020, we have Lang taking one of the three scholarships (Iosia, Choy, and Sibley), with possibly two left available. Perhaps, the foreign players that we were expecting just didn't pan out?

Even though the signing period starts next week, Lang will be the only one that will sign. Probably will not know who gets the other 2 scholarships until sometime in the Spring of 2020, I am thinking.

Need to remember official word of Hanna Hellvig signing was not made until late Spring. When it comes to officially sign a player coming out of Europe it takes a lot longer a process.

Danielson was a setter for club/high school at one point I think.

Uh.... am I the only one thinking "someone is transferring" first when reading Koa's message? We already had two scholarships left for 2019, that was obvious. So either Koa is hinting that one of the recruits Hawaii was hoping for didn't pan out or someone is deciding on transferring or medically retiring after this season? Plus, doesn't seem like an excited post with a ".." at the end lol. Must be nice to be in the know....

Koa, spit more out, please. In Hawaiian is cool.

Lexis Akeo actually was not penciled in as the starter this season. She was suppose to be the back-up setter, but their to-be starting setter went down with an ACL injury right before the season started, throwing Lexis into the starting role. Not sure what will happen next season with their starting setter returning with Lexis, after her successful freshman season. Thanks. Fischer probably isn't sure either. Good problem for him to have. I'm not sure if Akeo will want to leave but good setters from some teams probably will. I hope Hawaii can get one. Pittsburgh will have 3 setters on their roster next year, 2020. One will be a Junior, who was suppose to be the starting Setter until she went down with a knee injury in fall practice. Then there will be 2 Sophomore Setters, which includes Akeo. Two Setters will have to sit at least 2 years before even seeing the court on a consistent basis, if Pittsburgh runs a 1 setter offense.
