We'll see if the Rams are still your top choice after they spank the Boliers out of the tourney![/quote]
Don't know how that would affect anything. We'd be more likely to lose to the teams I listed than CSU, IMO (we already did lose to Tennessee). Losing to CSU wouldn't change that.

To answer your question, I'd rather they were home playing the winner of UCSB-WSU.
I like watching VB. Now I may have to drive to Madison.

The only real complaint I have about the selections this year is that the committee ought to do away with the pretense of actually giving seedings to any of the teams.
Only the top 16 teams are seeded and many of those this year are in name only so they can fit the desired matchups and travel priorities.
I'm skeptical regarding whether the pre-selection regional sites does much to help the tournament.
Though, I guess it could be considered as helping volleyball in general by moving the regional sites around rather than always at the same relative handful of schools every year.
It don't see how it realistically helps overall attendance in the two years its been around. This year Hawaii, Nebraska, Penn State and Washington (or Minnesota) are some of the top attendance teams in the country so they've basically traded Hawaii and Nebraska for Green Bay and Louisville which is probably 10,000 - 15,000 fewer fans per night in the rengional matches.

If you do come to Madison, I can pretty much guarantee a lower level of public drunkenness than the last time you came to a match here.

At least I was the designated driver for that trip so your drunkenness didn't impact anything other than my ears with your off key singing.

While I can't complain about the teams we play, I think that I, too, would have preferred a home court. I *will* be out in New Haven, by hook or crook, come heck or high water, but it will be a royal pain, especially with it being a Thurday/Friday set of matches. Oh well... I got a bonus from work.

I guess the other thing I could complain about for Minnesota's 1st / 2nd round matches is that they're on Thursday / Friday meaning two days off work if I were to try to make the trip.
Two days off work and watching matches in front of perhaps a few hundred fans each night.

Nah, I just felt like doing some barking. ;D

No. I'm going to try and make the sub-regional in Atlanta. However, I have a conference all the next week and go home (to So. Calif.) for a week on the 21st. Adding a trip to Minnesota to that might be just a bit much.

Its too bad you won't make the trip - we'd be glad to coordinate having (R)uffda! spill drinks on you before (and after) the matches this year!

Grrrr... I hope the NCAA bite it big time.
Hawai'i got snubbed and that will not be pretty. They will be motivated to kick whose ever A**. The #1 rated undefeated team and the biggest draw in attendance and they were the only top four team travelling in the 1st and 2nd rounds. That is just disrespectful. NCAA don't care about anything else but money and inner circle favors. What a bunch of hypocites. It seems nothing Hawaii do willbe good enough to the committee. I hope this team goes all the way!

"they were the only top four team travelling in the 1st and 2nd rounds."
Minnesota might dispute that statement.
