I was thinking more individual rankings - I know the class is top 5 overall, or at least were the last time I saw. I thought Kinney was top 10. I have an inkling that Carly Gilk has moved up in the ranking so I was curious about that! Kinney: PrepDig: 21st PrepVB: 14th (she was top 10 (9) as you mentioned, but moved down in their last month's update) Taylor: PrepDig: 58th PrepVB: 30th Gilk: PrepDig: 73rd PrepVB: 105th These publications are inconsistent and they hinge heavily on club subscriptions.

Gilk and MN Select 18-1 placed 5th at the Kansas City MLK tournament this weekend. Here's one of their matches (#5 on the far side)
Kinney and Tribe 17 Elite Cardinal are the 17 Open Champions of the TopCourt MLK tournament in Houston!!
* I haven't been able to find any matches for Kinney's tournament but I will add match videos as I find them *

I just watched a bit of that video, it is cool to see that Gilk is getting a lot of passing reps as an opposite. Her OOS D-ball hitting is already so good at her age.

Really tough seeing all these 18s kids struggle to come up with routine digs or even put themselves in good position to make a play out of base.

Kinney's MLK tourney is behind a paywall 👎 but here's part of a match from their Holiday tournament. They crush them... so there's not a lot of defense happening but Kinney goes on a nice serving run and takes some solid swings. They're using the back up setter too, Glass (Duke) sits this set out. Kinney is #11 in white on the far side

If you're alleging corruption, that's quite the allegation.

What are you saying? That these publications are biased, or as you put it, "hinge heavily," in favor of clubs whose members buy subscriptions to the magazine? If you're alleging corruption, that's quite the allegation. There is a lot of “club influence “. There is very little club influence, inasmuch as clubs are manipulating PD, PV, and VBR. I think there is club bias, and certain clubs and their players receive a higher perceived assessment. For example, last year one team from a well known club had 11 or 12 players rated top-150. This is a great club, and this team is certainly a top team, but in no universe is an entire team all considered blue chip. Also, there is a huge variance just between raters, even in the same org. There is a bro who PD rated as #19 overall, and her state PD has her as #19, IN HER STATE. Clearly a disconnect. These ratings are not real. College coaches stress that to players and parents. They are meaningless. They're just click bait to run up subscription revenue.

3 of the 4 2025 recruits are playing in Minneapolis Jan 26-28 at the Northern Lights Qualifier. Carly Gilk, MN-Select 18 Jordan Taylor, HJV 17 McKenna Garr, Northern Lights 17 and all 4 will be playing at NIT Triple Crown on Feb 17-19 Kelly Kinney, Tribe 17 Elite Cardinal all games will be streamed A reminder re this! Any tips would be appreciated. I went to one of these in person and eventually found the courts I wanted, but knowing schedules, etc was not the easiest thing to figure out. Not sure how to stream. I'm being lazy hoping that someone who knows a lot can easily fill us all in.

You can look up the schedule on the northern lights website, find the court is easy just look at the numbers on the nets and watch. Can usually also look at the rosters from the schedule

They aren't using a paid streaming service for NLQ this time and they're permitting parents/coaches to film so hopefully we'll get some matches uploaded to youtube after the weekend for us commoners to watch 🤞

Tribe vs KIVA from the MLK tourney - Kinney is #11 in navy on the far side. Sets 1 and 3 are separate videos
Charlotte Glass the setter for tribe is such a fun setter to watch. What a great pick up for Duke
