I like reading that Gilk has a goal to be B1G Freshman of the Year. I don't think not achieving that would be a failure. Maybe she'll redshirt or have limited time on court behind Crowl/Schnichels/a transfer, but vocalizing that she wants to be great and impactful in less than 12 months is exciting. Hell yeah!

She is very athletic and could be one of those underrated players. I wish someone from Texas could give us some incite. There are so many good Texas players these days I think some end up being overlooked. |

I am actually most excited about Stella. I know she is already a gopher, but I am very much excited to have her run the offense. She won’t have the same strengths as Mel, but I think she will be fun to watch.

I like that we all have different picks. I am most excited for and intrigued by Gilk. I want to see how the coaching staff will deploy her- will she play 6 rotation? will she help with passing? She is a very well-rounded player so lots of potential there. My bonus pick would be Kinney too. I think she will give the other OH some serious competition for a starting spot.

This is what we have new to the team next year.
Stella new setter Ranked a 5
Kelly Kinney OH Ranked a 5
Jorden Taylor MB Ranked a 5
Carley Gilk OPP Ranked a 4
McKenna Garr DS/L Ranked a 3
Olivia OPP Ranked a 3
We all know rankings can be misleading. Kinney has played and started for USA programs. You saw Jorden's numbers. There is plenty of new talent to upgrade this team next year. WE are a good team this year.

Didn't we have two number one players in the nation on our roster last year? Neither Hugh or Keegan (nor Neb Cook) could get their potential out of them. This is Keegan's class let's see how he coaches them.
