Agree ^^. She was on a mission. Nice little weekend for Rettke and Hilley as well. Rettke: 4.5 kills/set @.531% and 2.5 blocks/set Hilley: 15.2 assists/set, 2.5 digs/set and team hit .366 on the weekend I'll take it I haven't seen anyone else's stats, so I may be biased, but those look like Big Ten POW and SOW numbers to me.

One thing I noticed yesterday that I don't think I have seen this year is Sheffield started at least one set in a different rotation than typical. Usually, without fail, if Wisconsin starts a set with the serve they start in rotation 3 with Rettke in left front and Clark serving. In the 3rd set yesterday he started in rotation 2 with Barnes serving and Rettke on the sideline waiting to come in.
I am not sure if it was done to get favorable matchups in a match where they had already won the 1st 2 sets. My thinking is that it was done to allow Barnes to serve more often than Clark. Barnes likely getting fewer serving attempts was a downside of flipping Haggerty and Loberg when they were struggling so badly with rotation 6 in pre-conference.

I mean, we might be able to make it happen, but we don't have childcare for that weekend, and I have a work trip the first part of that week and a board meeting the night before the Sweet 16. Rainbowmom is taking Rainbowkiddo for the weekend so Rainbowspouse and I can go to Pittsburgh, though, so I can't really complain. I'll be in Pgh too for the FF!

Is it possible to score tickets for the FF this late in the game? Do some come available after teams are determined?

UW Athletics does not sell their allotment to the public, in either round. Which is why we ended up standing behind a pillar at Huff Hall.

We could have gotten them on the street in Minneapolis last year, outside the Target Center...especially after BYU fans left. So I don't know about Final Four, but I bet you could get NC match tickets if you were to go to Pittsburgh.

You can just edit those at this point, as far as I'm concerned, to replace "Week" with "Year" and be done with it. Though, I could see Syd taking both SOY and POY awards.

A lot rides on how we finish conference play. I'll feel a lot better about statements like this if we beat PSU (and Rutgers, of course).

Fun thing I've noticed: Every time a Badger has been POY, Syd has been SOY.

Fun thing I've noticed: Every time a Badger has been POY, Syd has been SOY. Why, it's like volleyball is being played as a team sport, or something :-) Syd always emphasizes in interviews that her gaudier setting numbers aren't just because of her, she depends on good back row passing and smart hitters too. But the number of one-on-one looks she gets for her hitters is something she should be celebrated for.

In addition to leading the B1G in assists/S, Sydney accounts for a higher percentage of her teams assists (89%) than any setter in the B1G. Take from that what you will.
