Considering how sick she was, that Haggerty showing against the huskers has become one of my iconic performances in badger volleyball history.

That video reminded me how much I love when Duello gets a big block, turns around with both arms straight down and that FIRE in her eyes (see the 1:36 mark)! LOVE that! Also love Barnes enthusiasm in cellies with her teammates.

Also iconic, for a freshman: uwbadgers.com/news/2016/9/23/volleyball-badgers-crack-the-buckeyes.aspx Check out the clip Kelli Bates: "The one play that Lauren got the kill on and Molly had a bunch of ridiculous saves, it was so loud that I almost couldn't hear anything. Everybody was just screaming and running around. It was so crazy. Those kinds of momentum shifts make it so much easier for us to keep the momentum going. The Field House makes a huge difference."Molly had received AVCA National Player of the Week, and Big Ten Player of the Week just days before that.

One of my favorite moments, here is just that sequence SAAAAAAAAME! This was the loudest I'd ever heard the Field House to that point. (The Sweet 16 match vs. Ohio State later that year would top it.) It was also when I started wearing earplugs at matches, because I am, apparently, an old.

The 2014 comeback against Illinois was loud, too. That Haggerty sequence may still be my favorite that I can ever remember.

I remember how impressive Taylor Hughes' attacking was for OSU in that match, not to mention Taylor Sandbothe and the rest. That was a great OSU team as well.

But the thing I like about the last huskers performance is that it was a sustained, gritty performance for a whole match. You really had no idea she was battling illness and was not feeling well. She led the team in kills. If she had succumbed to illness, that match may have played out quite a bit differently.

These are great examples of how great the Fieldhouse could be. I was a little underwhelmed by the fanbase on Sunday. Maybe I expected more because it was Nebraska. But the last few matches have been meh. In fact, I feel like I may be borderline ridiculous as I too wear eyeplugs.
This year the best matches were Marquette and Penn State in terms of crowd support.

Loudest in the Field House, however? I was there in 2000 when Sherisa Livingston got the final block against UCLA in the 5th set of the Elite Eight match. THAT was loud...like burn-down-the-Field-House loud. (That was actually painfully loud.)

Byrd wasn't much of an offensive threat that year, but she had a huge kill when the Bruins had rallied to tie it at 12 in the fifth.
