29 kills from Florida's middle blockers today, minus Kramer. They are loaded at that position.
Mary Wise has some interesting decisions going forward, starting Tuesday against FSU.
Regardless of who's playing the middle, they need to pass better.

Mississippi State takes down hosts Jacksonville State University in 4 sets (25-22, 24-26, 25-22, 25-19). Teamwork across the board and they fought hard in an intimidating atmosphere. Middles Amarrah Cooks (MVP) and Deja Robinson (My all-time MVP) make All-Tournament team.

Alabama swept all 3 teams (UAB, Georgia State, Alcorn State). Looking forward to seeing how they match up with FSU Friday before heading to TAMU.

Honestly I think Missouri is looking the best so far. Florida and Kentucky are so confusing to me. They should be competitive with every team in the country but then they go and get swept by Utah or pushed to 5 by LBSU. My top 5 would be as follows. 1. Missouri 2. Kentucky 3. Florida 4. Tennessee 5. TAMU

Ohhh you meant the SEC as a whole lmao. I’d say it’s 3rd or 4th behind the big ten and pac 12 and maybe the ACC.

Do the Florida announcers make anyone else want to rip their hair out? They barely beat a terrible LBSU team but listening to these guys you’d think they’re challenging Conegliano for a world championship.
Examples: The success of the SEC is attributable to Mary Wise. Mary Wise is the most cerebral coach in the NCAA. (I like Wise. She’s an awesome coach. But the announcers are just a bit much with the superlatives for my taste.)

Re TAMU
Five set win at home vs Oklahoma who beat us twice last season. Also the first five set loss for Oklahoma in 6 matches that went the distance. Hollan Hans was outstanding attacking with 29 kills just shy of career high. Add Lauren Davis' 17 kills and we were top 10 level good last night from the outside hitter position. First set was a bunch of mistakes that over the course of five sets would be insignificant but in one set alone was too overwhelming and that set alone had Oklahoma score more points in the match even though the Aggies won the match We are getting much better from the service line as the season continues scoring many points with Taylor Voss and Camille Conner at the service line. Last weekend we did the same when Hans and Makena Patterson were at the line so production is coming from all sides. Freshman Rush on the Right Side is going to be a stud but has to elevate her game especially in out of system situations. Sanders played some right side effectively last season before transitioning to Outside and might be an option going forward if Rush struggles. Also Morgan Davis has done well off the bench in both middle and RS
Next up is Texas at Texas. Currently ranked third it will be a tough task but if we play well from outside then we can compete

Most of the time we play them we can manage a set but can’t really put pressure enough to win. If Rush could play to her capabilities then it would be interesting but I think she is a couple of years away from that right now
