UGA did not sweep GA Tech. It went four. And SC needed 5 to beat Clemson Oh yeah, total brain fart. I was at that game.

Not sure the story behind Lauren Chastang. She's really good. Could definitely play at Bama or Auburn.

She had 21 kills against Bama in a victory this season. South Carolina had few answers for her yesterday.

Thoughts on how the SEC looks so far?? Conference play starts tomorrow with TAMU playing at home against Alabama
I think it is a tier 1 of Missouri Florida and Kentucky Tier 2 with TAMU Tennessee Tier 3 with USC and LSU
The rest could be interesting to see which comes out on top and maybe steals one or two from above I think Arkansas has looked below what I expected them to be and Tennessee is not as up as much as I expected. We will see if the non conference SOS records of the lower tier will be continued or will drop off in the Mississippi schools

With the Conference play starting this week below is how I would rank SEC teams to finish. TIER 1 1. Florida (9-2) - if setting does not improve over the course of the season they could be bottom of tier 1. 2. Kentucky (7-4) - they need to get mentally tougher 3. Missouri (8-2) - better than I expected... Deberg could easily be SEC PoY. TIER 2 4. Texas A&M (8-2) - have decent size and very gritty team. Will not be an easy out for tier 1 & 2 teams 5. Tennessee (6-4)- I still think they are finding themselves, but should be much stronger in a couple weeks 6. South Carolina (8-4) - no bad losses, but no real good wins either. They need a couple good wins. TIER 3 7. LSU (6-4) - nice win at Iowa St in Ames, then get swept by Northern AZ and outscored 75-50?? Could be another Jekyll & Hyde year for Tigers! (sorry dman) 8. Georgia (8-3) - Team chemistry is probably better -1, need to be consistent in conference this year! 9. Ole Miss (8-3) - No bad losses, no real good wins either - they could easily be in tier 4 if Stroup is off. TIER 4 10. Alabama (8-3) - I just don't see them moving up the ladder. 11. Arkansas (6-6) - They need Freshman to come through big time if they want to move up. 12. Auburn (6-5) - I wanted to put them last but they have actually played much better than expected. 13. Miss St. (11-1) - Until they beat someone with a pulse I can't move them up. I also can't tell how much they have improved since last year because of the teams they have played.

Nothing exciting in the first round of matchups IMO
Two good ones on the second round on Sunday with TAMU @ Tenn and Missouri vs Kentucky

I feel SEC is going to be a true toss-up I personally think Mizzou has the best chances of winning it all with their play so far. Florida and Kentucky just don't look as good as they do on paper. Kramer is over-hyped, she is not the player we need her to be, Carlton hasn't seemed to improve, neither has the outsides. Kentucky is a simple mess. Figured they'd come in and be national powerhouses with Lilley and Curry getting international time and Edmond being Edmond. I anticipated them going 11-0 in OOC. I can see A&M and Tennesse being spoilers. Hans and company are playing very well and if Hans gets her serve back on track along with her offense that she's putting up, watch out! Same with Grubbs, if she can play how she did last season, or at least how she played in match 1 against Illinois, along with Finghall cutting down the errors, I would be worried. \

TAMU wins in four but should have been a sweep. The end game for TAMU has to improve. The loss to Texas could have honestly been a win or at least a 5 setter and the loss to Lousiville would have been a win if they can figure out how to end sets and matches.
