They will have all the hitters they need, although no one will be quite Roni over powering. Don't forget that Taylen Ballard will have another eight months now to regain her form and strength after her injury. Blocking and defense will be fine.
The question is, who will set? There is no heir apparent. My money is on Moea'i.

There is no heir apparent. My money is on Moea'i. Unless there is a late recruit or something, Tausinga is the other possibility beside Moea'i. In the limited action I saw from her my impression is Tausinga has very nice hands and sets a nice ball, but as bayarea notes she quite undersized. If BYU sticks with the 5-1, I think they are more likely to go with Moea'i next year.

How good will BYU be for 2019? Will they be pre-season ranked top 10? When BYU played for the title in 2013, they were ranked 9th in the 2014 pre-season poll. So, hard to tell. bayarea gives a great synopsis. Wondering if they play a 6-2 next year. Lots of questions, for sure. They played in the championship match in 2014. And made their run using a different (and freshman) setter than they had used all season. Definitely not the norm.

True, but if I see a freshman setter lead her team to the championship, doesn’t that make you think, “They’re going to be really good next year”? My chip-on-the-shoulder attitude says the voters didn’t respect BYU much. But, I’m pretty sensitive 😉

This is a sad picture. I think it’s when they lost to Kentucky in 2017. 🙁

BYU getting in on the crazy early recruiting game? Gets the first verbal of 2023. With some stellar 2023s at our club that some top programs are very aware of, I was thinking the other day, what if one committed? If the pending legislation passes in April, they couldn’t talk to them for over two years (except at camp). 😂 That’s pretty crazy stuff...even 2022s for over a year. I really do hope it passes, let these kids be silly kids for just a little while longer.

BYU will be fine. Jones Perry was not an AA as prestigious prior to this year. Shows that the coaching staff knows how to develop players. I expect Robinson to step up and not only show flashes like this year, but steady play. I agree setting comes into question. I would not be surprised to see a transfer come in.

This strikes me as an encouraging photo given it seems to suggest the McKenna Miller is back on the court already:

McKenna Miller is a Volleyball Cyborg, impervious to damage.

McKenna Miller is a Volleyball Cyborg, impervious to damage. Well unfortunately she wasnt for the end of the 2018 season. These can take time to heal. LMU's Megan Rice injured her knee at BYU in the last match of the 2017 season and she missed the entire 2018 season. Hopefully this injury isn't as severe

Knee injuries do indeed tend to be career ending in VB. Or at least career derailing.
Hopefully Miller is an exception.
