1.I was wrong. If we can beat Stanford with a 5’8” high school senior setter, we don’t need to play a 6’2” 2. Ballard-Nixon looked so good on the left. But I think someone-McKenna, Taylen, Kate has to play 6 rotations or they will run out of subs in long games. Even if they have to ride them on SR. Ml can cover the whole court, right 😬? I hope Madi and the other OH Ds’s are practicing pipes in every practice. Maybe we won’t get kill like RJP, but I’d take out of system as a result. 3. I think the connection still isn’t quite there with the middles. When that comes, yowza. Soooo much improvement in this team the last 4 weeks. Nice job, coaches and players. Yeah, I agree. One other thing about Bower that I'd mention is that her floor defense may be making up for her lack of blocking. She's had 15 or more digs in three of the last five matches (more than Lake's total in all three), including 18 in the win over Stanford. She's averaging 3.25 digs per set in the last five matches and has increased her season average to 2.63 digs per set. Between that and her superior serving (she had an ace against Stanford that completely destroyed Hentz), her all-around game seems to be developing nicely along with her setting (I agree that there is still room for improvement there, though she's doing so much better than I would have expected from a 17-year-old true freshman).

Not surprising and certainly deserving, though I think Whitney Bower would have been just as deserving.

I want Mary lake to get a WCC player of the week award. Does anyone think she has a shot of WCC player of the year?

IMO, What Mary is doing for this year's team is amazing and unfortunately she will never get the credit she deserves and why some (certainly not me) have unfairly criticized her as not looking her normal self. She is covering a lot of our team weaknesses (passing and defense) and in some rotations is being asked to pass 2/3s of the court.

As for Player of the Year, has a libero ever won that award? I'm not really sure, but it seems like it usually goes to outside hitters and the like.

A little Bower serving appreciation (assuming this gif works):

Really like how well Grimmer can elevate (it's a nice set too):

is the game posted somewhere? Not that I know of. I'm watching the replay on the pac-12 network, and I did a few screen captures.

Personal gripe about the Pac12 Network (again): 1.5hr. replays that show 2.25?/4 sets stink.

If I remember right, that's pretty early in set three. I don't think it's in the replay which is all of 1, last half of 3, and all of four.
