Either Charlie or Dave said that Ashley may be flying home today and getting surgery as soon as possible. Then, if Hawaii makes it to the Final Four, she may be ready. Also, Scott Robbs said yesterday that Prince has the flu. Although she did practice yesterday and will play today.

What the Wahine may miss a lot, with Watanabe down is her serve. At the end of the year, she had several games when UH strung three or more points in the row with her jump float. It was her serving that most likely led her to be named to the WAC All-Tournament team.

The Wahine will not only miss Watanabe's digging ability but, as you mentioned, her serve as well. She came up big for Hawai'i against the Wolfpack at the WAC tourney from behind the service line.

I stand corrected. Kelly Ong DID travel this trip and she will be available if needed to go in. A thousand apologies.

Jump float serves are the absolute suck.
Unless you have five aces as did Watanabe against Nevada!

MAN! Hawaii always seems to have some bad luck going into the post-season. What is up with that? And is it true that Prince has the flu? What's next, Boogard with cramps and Arnott with shingles. SHEESH!
Stay healthy, girls! GO BOWS!

Either Charlie or Dave said that Ashley may be flying home today and getting surgery as soon as possible. Then, if Hawaii makes it to the Final Four, she may be ready. Well, she stayed with the team and is flying home with them so no special arrangements were made to get her back early. While this is extremely unfortunate for Ashley, at least Fotu and Ong stepped up and played great. Whew!
