Cuttino and Abercrombie are doing great for their respective leagues. I can’t believe that people here are not talking enough about them.
Hooker on the otherhand is playing her best year since 2010-2012.
Karch should re-evaluate his picks. There are bigger fishes than Murphy and Lowe.

Hooker is playing really well no doubt but that’s never been the issue.

The fact is we do not know what Plummer can do until she is part of the NT and see how she performs. This idea operates from a false premise. What exactly is the false premise? That’s a true statement.

This idea operates from a false premise. What exactly is the false premise? That’s a true statement. It isn’t. As I posted previously, the premise that we won’t know until we see is flawed. Great coaches have the foresight necessary to identify talent with the potential to make an impact at the next level. This exists in juniors volleyball too. It’s called recruiting. Could you imagine if college coaches said, “Idk about recruiting this 6’6” physical, skilled, talented athlete... She hasn’t played college ball yet so I can’t recruit her because I don’t know if she’ll be good.” Sounds dumb, right?

We can't get people to even consider looking at Kathryn Plummer, and you're over here wondering why they won't talk about Britttany Abercrombie?? 😂

From the weekly recap on the USWNT homepage:
Opposite Kelly Murphy (Wilmington, Illinois, Twitter, Instagram) is playing for Shanghai Volleyball Club this winter. Shanghai defeated Jiangsu Zhongtian Iron and Steel 25-15, 23-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-6 on March 5 to claim third place in the Chinese League playoffs. Shanghai swept the best-of-three series to end their playoff run. Murphy scored 30 points with 25 kills on 42 attacks and just one attack error for a .571 hitting efficiency. She added three blocks and two aces on 23 errorless serves in the victory.
Where the hell has this version of her been? Is Jiangsu that inferior of a team?
Wtf?!

The third place match was only best of two, nonetheless Kelly should be putting big numbers especially in the Chinese League. As far as Jiangsu goes, they're a team that doesn't hire any foreign players and instead they focus on local player development. The only NT members they have are Zhang Changning, Gong Xiangyu, and Diao Linyu. Everyone is else is young and inexperienced. Also, Zhang didn't play in the 5 set match that won Shanghai 3rd Place.

As referred to by previous posters without the link, below is the WNT Weekly Update as posted on Facebook Tori Dixon and Chiaka Ogbogu claimed gold in China and Poland, respectively, and several other U.S. Women's National Team members earned big playoff wins and other key regular season victories in overseas pro leagues. toddyj posted that Washington stated that Karch was going to fill the gym with players this summer... perhaps there's hope that he will look for some "new blood"? Either way, I'm skeptical that these players will merely serve to fill roster spots for the summer rather than compete w/ the "vets" for 2020 roster spots. Filling the gym with players!

K but if it’s just for Pan American roster spots (not sure if it will be), then is it really a step in the right direction

Congrats Tita!
She truly is one of the best, if not the best libero to ever don a rainbow wahine uniform.

Highly doubt anyone else will be allowed to skip NCAA training in August.
