I admire what Nebraska is doing with its Beach Volleyball program but I wonder how cold weather teams deal with the elements and heat, which can't be replicated indoors. It was hot on Queen's beach yesterday. Meanwhile, Lincoln gets 8+ inches of snow on Saturday, freezing temperatures forecasted for at least the next seven days, and the second most snow in Lincoln ever recorded for the month of February. ❄️ |

Stivrins/Hames sounds wonderful.
I was happily surprised to see Kubik at #2, along with Kurkova. Glad Kurkova is getting some recognition.
Knuckles above Miller? Foreshadowing, perhaps?
Would love to take a dual over Hawaii/Cal/Stanford/Washington/LBSU this season.
Best win to date is against against #7 UCLA in 2013. The same year, we took #5 Hawai'i and #4 USC down to the wire, losing 2-3.
In 2015, we were 6-2 overall with wins against Cal, ASU, GCU, and #11 Arizona
Nebraska's last win over a ranked team was against #11 Arizona State in 2017.

Any insight to why Sun isn't on a team? Are you talking about being on one of the pairs? Well, you have to be able to serve receive to be a successful beach volleyball player. I guess Coach Cook hasn't pushed her to that level yet. |

I can think of only 3 reasons why she would pass up a trip to Hawaii. I'm sure there are others.
1) Grades - it appears she made Honor Roll
2) Injury - edit: winner, winner, chicken dinner!
3) Disciplinary
No inside info, just pure speculation.

Didn't Sweet take off last season to nurse an injury? I would say that's most likely the case.
Or Sun wasn't good enough to make the top 6 flights. (Extremely unlikely being that she's from CA and is one of the better all around players)
