Is Oregon a consideration for Mendelson? Oregon is a big WBB school? They could be. But, Oregon women's hoops has recruited numerous post players the last couple of classes, including 6'7 Kennedy Basham out of Arizona for 2022.

If Mendelson does come to Texas would it be possible she plays basketball for her first year since Texas will need another back to the basket post player after this season depending on who uses their extra year. Maybe basketball the first year since Texas won't need a MB with already having O'Neal, Phillips, and Singletary in 2022. Once Phillips and O'Neal graduates maybe she decides if she wants to play volleyball and continues to do both. Just a thought🤷🏽‍♂️

I know Stivrins will move on after this year, but are both Caffey and Schwarzenbach done after this year? Seems like Allick and MM could be a could be quite the duo for Nebraska (as much as I don’t want that to happen). My understanding is that Stivrins and Sun will be out of eligibility after this season. Hames, Caffey and Schwarzenbach are listed as Seniors and would have to use a Covid year to return. If Bekka Allick, Hayden Kubik and Maisie Boesiger sign as expected, Nebraska would need several players to take walk-on status or lose some players due to transfer to have scholarships for Hames, Caffey and Schwarzenbach.

Mendelson has been pretty adamant about playing both sports in college, so I would guess she'll at least try it for a while. Lots of recruits are adamant about it in high school, but few actually try to play two team sports once they are faced with what it actually takes to do it. The ones that actually do it during their college career typically combine a team sport with an individual sport such as track & field. Not saying Mendelson won't try it, but recent history is against her. I'm aware, but Mendelson is more adamant than most. She's on the junior national teams in both sports.

The last one that I can remember that was adamant about playing both was Lauren Ware who went to Arizona. Checking their rosters, she is now showing basketball only in her sophomore year. Good luck to her if he she tries, but it's a very difficult task.

Well, Jennifer Hamson did it at a high level in both sports (drafted by the WNBA, multiple first-team volleyball All-American) in the last 10 years. Of course it's very difficult. But that doesn't mean Mendelson won't try. I would guess that she'll pick one or the other eventually. I just don't think it will be right now.

How many top recruits at Texas ride the pine for most of their careers?

How many top recruits at Texas ride the pine for most of their careers? Since Texas is living rent-free in your mind, why don't you tell me which top recruits are currently riding the pine? Notice I haven't said ANYTHING about Mendelson. At this point, it's pretty clear that if she were to come to Texas, she would play basketball. Reading the threads would probably help before you open your mouth.

I have my suspicions like anyone else, but suspicions are all they are. That is why I laid out the situation the way I know it, and nothing more.
