Based on that logic then FAMU ought to pretty much sweep Florida in their tournament match since FAMU beat Neraska, while Nebraska slaughtered Texas, and Texas thumped Florida. Tempting fate, are we!

And I pretty much predict an easy win for FAMU tomorrow. Didn't use that logic to get there, but one could. I just look at what FAMU does well and their strengths are Florida's weaknesses. I don't know if they'll sweep, but they will win, in 4 at the most and the games they do win won't be all that close. I picked the Gators to make it to the regional finals.

I picked the Gators to make it to the regional finals. Do you know something I don't? Unless the seniors from last year are suddenly reinstated, they are 1 and done. If, by some chance, they get by FAMU, they won't get by Stanford.

Well, it's past my bedtime. Anyways, congrats to Purdue on the 1st big upset of the tournament. I'm sure it won't be the last.

Yeah, like tomorrow night in Fort Collins would be another nice place for one. No write up on CSU/Purdue yet on the CSU website (Purdue has a generic writeup on their website, but no insight that you can't get by reading the ten page thread of the match)

Did Kim Cappa play. She is short but can hit pretty good.. Kim only came in right at the end of game 4 when it was out of hand to spell Mel Ukovich. Ukovich missed a lot of the season still recuperating from that knee injury she had against Illinois last year, and therefore they don't want to risk any injuries. Kim broke 1000 kills for her career in one of the last matches of the season. Not bad for a 5' 7" OH playing in the Big Ten.

The write up is available www.csurams.com/article.aspx?articleID=6886&sportid=2They were caught off guard by RD dumping as much as she did. I think they must have just gotten hold of the wrong tapes, because she usually dumps a lot. The one match she didn't dump a lot was last Sat vs Northwestern. Maybe that's the match they had? OTOH, I should note that just changing the blocking scheme to stop Dargan is not necessarily going to help, because it will open up McConaha. They held her in check for a lot of the match, but that's because they focused so much on her. Let her go and she can dominate.

Quite a win for Purdue, which makes two of their last three matches impressive efforts (if not for the Northwestern match......). I am suprised Dargan had so many attack attempts, but it was effective. It is also suprising that they were able to win at CSU with McConaha contained (I know that an earlier post said they were keying on her, but I would have still expected her to have a really big match in a Purdue win in this one). It will be interesting to see how they fare against Hawaii. I think this will make it easier for the Wahine to advance to tropical Green Bay, since it is probably better to face a team in a neutral site match than one playing at home. Of course, it would also not help them silence their "who did they beat?" critics. I don't know if Purdue has enough firepower to pull another upset, but they have to be encouraged by the balanced attack tonight.
