CRABB TA./GIBB
CRABB TR./BOURNE
EVANS/KOLINSKE HYDEN/DOHERTY
LUCENA/DALHAUSSER
PATTERSON/BUDINGER
PRIDDY/BRUNNER
SLICK/ALLEN
CQ will be State-side
Entries points after Doha:
Dalhausser/Lucena 2,440 Gibb/Crabb Ta. 2,440 Bourne/Crabb Tr. 1,815 Slick/Allen 1,650 Hyden/Doherty 1,610 Patterson/Budinger 1,480 Brunner/Priddy 1,380 Kolinske/Evans 1,360
Nick/Phil and Gibb/Taylor are ranked Tied for 13th, should be fine in MD.
Bourne/Crabb are nexted ranked 37. But this includes a bunch of doubled up partnerships like W Brazil. Not sure they'll have enough for MD points.

Any inkling on CQ date? Usually Manhattan Beach on some random Tuesday or Wednesday.

Does not look like Brunner/Priddy and Evans/Kolinske have enough points to even play in CQ.

Does not look like Brunner/Priddy and Evans/Kolinske have enough points to even play in CQ. They are both signed up for the Kuala Lumpur 3 star the weekend after Xiamen. Hopefully they can get in to at least the Q there!

Does not look like Brunner/Priddy and Evans/Kolinske have enough points to even play in CQ. They pulled out. I think they were forced to. There can’t possibly be 6 teams playing in CQ. The same thing happened for Doha last time. If Alison/Alvaro lose in CQ, I think that will be the talk of town that day.

Dalcena CQ (2 teams will get into Qualifiers) 2T Hyden/Doherty 2C Slick/Allen Carumbula/Rossi got the WC. Alison/Alvaro in CQ. Amazing how Crabb/Gibb have the same points as Dalcena and Crabb/Gibb have finished better than 5th 1 time ever in FIVB play. Dalcena at 10th would put them in a pool with the 2 seed, Crabb/Gibb would go in Pool A with the 1 seed. I haven't looked at the entry list yet but who are the likely 1 and 2 seeds?

Reid’s shot at Tokyo looking more improbable by the day, long shot to begin with, really needed better finish/win in Sydney.

Dalcena had some 9th place finishes towards the end of the season while Gibb/Crabb placed 5th in Vienna and then 4th in Gstaad. I believe they will drop one more seed because host nation gets automatic 8 seed for whichever the top team happens to be. That means Crabb/Gibb will be in 10th and Dalcena will be 11th. Based on the serpentine system that they use, Crabb/Gibb should be in Pool F and Dalcena would be in Pool E. Seed 1 and 2 are currently Mol/Sørum and Bryl/Fijalek.

That's not correct. As #10 Seed you play against the #7 seed. #1 is in the same pool as #16. Since the best Chinese Team will be seeded as #8 Gibb/Crabb will be the #10 seed and likely have Brouwer/Meuwsen in their pool. Dalcena will be in the same pool as Kantor/Losiak (assuming that nobody pulls out and nobody loses points until the start of the tournament).
