That was a very difficult read. (I wonder if Braddak will jump in and defend himself on here.)

Granted in hindsight they were right, but I am curious why the team was against hiring him in the first place.

Granted in hindsight they were right, but I am curious why the team was against hiring him in the first place. I’m curious as to the opinions of the players not quoted in the article. Statements like these: “Several other players either declined to speak on the record for this story or further requested this story not run altogether, in an apparent acknowledgement that Braddak will not be going anywhere and they will have to continue working together going forward.” suggest to me the writers of these articles are taking some liberties with their assessment of the situation.

Prediction: HE WILL BE GONE SOONThese issues were brought to the administration in the past. They looked into it and he’s still there. If he now gets fired for an article in the school paper re-stating what they already knew, that has wrongful termination written all over it.

Yeah, this seems like it could be a hit piece by a select few team members. The actions described certainly seem odd, but far from abusive. If that stuff traumatized those players, then they’ve lived very cushy lives.

I found all 3 grievances described in the articles to be fairly tame or questionable... in order to claim mental abuse I’d hope (or not hope?) the other 5 are much more substantiated.

I wonder if it is a political move by some players to get rid of Braddak, but if this indeed is political machination, this won't be the first time players have tried to manipulate the press (and by extension, the administrators) to get rid of a coach they don't like or disagree with. People after all can make stuff up. Not saying Braddak might be right or wrong in his coaching style, but I question whether the team will really improve if the players get to call the all shots here, that does not sound to me to be a recipe for success.

He's safe. Nothing bad has ever happened to a Thirty Under 30 award recipient.

If this were an attempt to satirize entitled youth, what would be different about this article?
There may be abuses at Penn Volleyball but nothing mentioned here constitutes one. Also any decent journalist would mention that two of the three players mainly quoted are sisters.
