I think John must have chewed them out pretty good in that last timeout because they came back fired up and have scored three straight, it's now 15-12 (WSU) and they call a timeout.

In any coach calls a time-out prior the the technical timeout, there's not time out at 15. Yeah, I'm with you on that one...just wonder why he burned it when he would've gotten a 'free' one anyway (based on the score)!? ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Timeout Shockers, down 21-18....they're making too many unforced errors (trying to 'press' too much, IMHO)...come on Lamb, calm them down and let's keep this thing within reach!

Currently 25-21 Nebraska in game three, but some great rallies and volleyball being played by both sides!!

Great match! Glad I was able to watch it (thank you Huskers). Lamb has really done a nice job with this Wichita State team and I think he'll be getting some phone calls in reference to some job openings during the off-season. In the end, the Huskers showed their experience and how physical they can be (really put on a 'block-party' near the end)...they'll be tough to beat if they keep this up!

%*$#tttt..poor WSU, they would beat a lot of top 20 teams if given the chance.. NU really turned it on after being down for most of the 3rd game. NU vs. USC will be a good one...I hope they will have a live feed, it was like watching it on TV...
I still take Cooks comments as a huge diss at Hawaii...

Chris heard about this 6'4 kid from tiny Caldwell, Kansas and went to watch her play school ball. Sara never played club ball, but was definitely a diamond in the rough. She red shirted last year, and has vastly improved with coaching and very hard work. The team joke is that when WSU goes by bus to their games, the players are to be on the lookout as they drive through small towns for "another Sara L". ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Now I am pissed...screw you coach Cook... here is what he had to say about NU getting a number 1 seed etc. "From all the top teams we were the only team to go undefeated in conference"... So I guess he doesn't think Hawaii is a top team... Fu--C-- Yo--- Asswipe... GOOOOOOO WSU..BEAT NU... You left out one key word in Cook's quote----he said MAJOR conferences. Get it right if you are going to quote him.

I just listened to the press conference again to make sure and there is NO question about what he said.

Lambo has just done an outstanding job with his team in a very short time and is understanadably VERY PROUD of what his team has accomplished. He talked about starting with an RPI of about 270 and now being under 30. He said if there is another team that has made the strides his teams has done, he wants to know who they are so he can schedule them and beat them ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I really admire him and his accomplishments. I think he is planning on staying there for quite a while just to see how far he can take this squad. I'm pretty sure he will start getting the attention of even better athletes based on what he did this year. Concerning how Nebraska did against them, I loved this comment in his post-game comments: On the caliber of NebraskaIt is kind of an irony. We have been able to out-man a lot of teams on our schedule. Nebraska takes the game to a whole new level. It’s kind of a hopeless feeling when we start a rally and then they get scramble rallies going and chase everything down. This is just what I was saying in the thread about how to beat Nebraska. They just wear you down to where you give up on your usual stuff and try other things. Those don't work any better and you get frustrated. Then you finally realize it is just not going to happen.

Ooooh, here are a couple of other comments that were pretty choice. After being asked about the environment of playing at Nebraska and after commenting how they had played at Hawaii last year, Lamb said this:
I am going to say it is the best. Hawaii may double the crowd size, but here everyone is on top of you. The fans have a great knowledge of the game. It’s like the fans and players go out and practice together.
Andee Hatig's comment on the atmosphere:
It’s awesome here. We have been to Hawaii, but here everybody’s on top of you. I wouldn’t say it’s a hostile environment because the people here want to see good volleyball. It’s fun to play here.
And Sara Younes:
It is awesome. The team and the fans are so energetic and all on the same page. They want to see good volleyball.
