I guess the question is do you leave the development of Patch up to his club team or try to help speed it up with a spot on the national team? He ticks off all the boxes in terms of physical ability. He can hit over an international block and play decent enough defense, the question for him is can he stop being a serving liability. I'm guessing its mostly up in his head rather than a technical problem. If that's the case, can he at least give you a pretty decent floater like a guy like Amado from LBSU can give you. Ensing at this point is better than patch with serving, defense and volleyball IQ. In a clutch situation, I'll take Ensing right now. Hopefully Patch can put it all together though, preferably before 2020.

Also Ensing can be used off the bench as a serving sub besides a back up opp. TJ and Jaesheke also can fill that role.

Any news on the travel roster for the first week? So curious as well. Based on Rachel Sander’s Instagram, looks like Taylor will be on there.

Jake Langlois and TJ De Falco also look to be traveling Week 1.

I don’t think Speraw would trust Watten to start in any game. Let’s see if Eric Shoji is in there.

At this point, why even bring Watten? U can’t use him, last time he started (a 2017 World League game against something like Belgium), he was terrible. Total playing time at the club level was limited.
