Dunninla, I think we never got to see your pre-season projection/analysis of the Trojans. Would you be willing to post it to help pass the lockdown time? Any post-season analysis and projections of 2021? COVID-19 has now made it possible for the Trojans to possibly win 2 years in a row now since Haley Hallgren and Sammy Slater would still have 2 years left.
2021 roster: Tina Graudina - jr (probably only one year left though) Haley Hallgren - jr Sammy Slater - jr Hailey Harward - gr Kyla Doig - fr Audrey Nourse - fr Nicole Nourse - fr Meg Kraft - fr Delanie Maple - fr Joy Dennis - sr (possible grad transfer?) Harper Hallgren - fr Olivia Bakos - fr Cammie Dorn- sr Paige Dreeuws - jr Maja Kaiser - jr Ebertin, Davis, Kim, Smith, Castillo, Myszkowski, Vasquez, and 2020 additional recruits rounding out the roster.

I posted this on another thread, and still believe it . They can force all athletes and staff to pass two tests with a day in between.
There’s no evidence that the Tokyo Olympics would be pushed a year. The Japanese head said their contract with the IOC stipulates the games happening in the 2020 calendar year. Despite criticism, he just said the games will go on as planned. Even still, there’s a good chance that the games would be pushed 1-2 months.
Much uncertainty obviously, but the logistics of pushing the games a full year are nearly impossible. I’d put the scenarios in this order right now. While the global situation is getting worse, we are still not fully convinced about how full summer heat will affect virus survivability. While Southern Hemisphere countries are now getting transmission, it’s no longer full summer there.
1) Games go on as planned 2) Games are postponed one month 3) Games are postponed 2-3 months 4) Games are cancelled 5) Games are postponed 1 full year
If we still have a 2021 collegiate beach volleyball season, Tina Graudina should be back on campus completing her degree.

Tina wants to get her degree and was definitely planning on returning to USC, but a lot depends on the Olympics and also her ability to earn money which is not allowed by the NCAA

The contract will have a force majeure clause which Im sure the IOC will invoke. Assuming it did not - and it does - the combined pressure of the other countries would overwhelm Japan. No way is Japan going to court to force other countries to send their athletes into Corona soup

How can there be “no evidence” the games could pushed back a year when the IOC President and the Japanese Prime Minister are both openly discussing pushing them back a year?

Yeah, clearly I was wrong. Luckily, the power that be took the safer choice of delaying to 2021 and not worry about the financial implications. For example, the Tokyo athlete village apartments have already been sold to people who would take possession in the fall of this year. Temporary venues will need to be extended a year, etc, Probably the Japanese people are not as litigious as us so it might work out.

Savannah Davis, 2021, committed today. Curious pick. Not a lot of beach vb credentials.
