Thai up 2 sets to 1 on Poland. Wolosz doesn't look as comfortable running a slower offense. It'll be interesting to see how she connects with Egonu next year. She likes to go go go.

Anyone watching the Thailand Poland match? Does Wolosz just not care about the national team? She just doesn’t look anything like the incredible setter I’m used to seeing based on watching her in VNL and OQ.

Canada loses 0-3 to Russia, better showing in the last 2 sets 21-25 Chase did well passing and defensively. Canada passed like the USA's Under 20 team. Hard to beat anyone when every other pass is a shank. Don’t Get me wrong, their passing was atrocious, but Chase did better than I thought she would. 😊

She just doesn’t look anything like the incredible setter I’m used to seeing based on watching her in VNL and OQ. She's literally surrounded by the best talent in Europe during her professional season. I think a lot of people forget that. She's very good, but she isn't the best, imo.

Thailand is the best. They still smile even though they lost. They are always a fan favorite.

09-11 Wolosz jf ace (Chatchu-on shanks right) 09-12 Onuma tight left stretch push line tool into antenna (Smarzek-Godek's right elbow) 10-12 Grajber left cross to right 90 10-13 Medrzyk jf ace (Pannoy) 10-14 Medrzyk jf, ... Onuma pipe mid-left touched long 11-14 Smarzek-Godek inside right cross blocked high deep just wide left 11-15 = 2-3. Thailand -23+22+26-23-11 PolandPoland advances with a 3-pt win over Serbia tomorrow. Serbia advances with any win. If Poland 3-2 Serbia, then they're tied 2-1 and 7 pts, but Poland 9-4 = 0.6923 < .7273 = 8-3 Serbia, and Serbia wins that.
Ergo, Serbia clinches when they win 2 sets.

This announcing is total garbage in more ways than one. Cringeworthy at times.

Not really , total number of victories is what counts first , so if Poland wins 3-2 , with 3 wins total would be ahead of Serbia with 2 wins.

Canada passed like the USA's Under 20 team. Hard to beat anyone when every other pass is a shank. Don’t Get me wrong, their passing was atrocious, but Chase did better than I thought she would. 😊 That was one of the worst showing by Canada than I have seen in some time. Gray was targeted like she was in last year's World Championship's (but without her usual offensive power). Unfortunately, one of Canada's biggest problems is the setting (poor decision making, poor location, trap sets, in general poor connection). The team had communication issues and the passing was bad. When they were in system, the sets were so predicable. Chase is a bright spot and defense and I am glad to see her making the traveling roster. I'd like to see her in the libero jersery (much Courtney for the US). She doesn't bring a lot offensively at this level. Max was missed offensively against Korea and helped stabilize the passing in the back row (along with Chase). It is nice to see some adjustments made to help the team's passing, though it wasn't enough today. I'd like to see Cross and Maglio with a good setter who can set the middle. Maglio continues to improve her game (and with a setter like Iosia would be so nice). Still I feel this team has potential. It will be nice to see the team get some experience in the VNL next year.

When's the last team they faced teams of this caliber? They've performed well against lower level teams (and the American C team). They showed some fight against a top 10 team. Seems in line with previous results (although the first set was bad).
