Basketball trivia Who were the first three basketball players to go directly from high school to the pros (American). (Hint: #1 went to ABA; #2 and #3 went to NBA) (Another hint: the first two names are well known, but the third is not.) Spencer Haywood? Hmm. Looked it up. Nope, he went to the ABA after one year of junior college.

ANSWERS
Basketball trivia
Who were the first three basketball players to go directly from high school to the pros (American)?
Moses Malone, Daryl Dawkins, Bill Willoughby
I was going to ask for only two but Dawkins and Willoughby were the same year. It seemed unfair to exclude Willoughby, whoever he was.

Yarrow and Travers. I don't know Paul's (looked it up and it's a tricky question, too).

Mary Travers, I think.
I never really noticed this before, but I suppose Peter, Paul, and Mary could also be a list of the most significant people in the Christian church.

What is the only whole number that, when spelled out, has all of its letters in reverse-alphabetical order? It's also the loneliest number.

I used to think "Jethro Tull" was the actual name of the lead member of the rock band, named after him. Wikipedia: Band names were often supplied by their booking agents' staff, one of whom, a history enthusiast, eventually christened them "Jethro Tull" after the 18th-century agriculturist. The name stuck because they happened to be using it the first time a club manager liked their show enough to invite them to return. ================== This reminds me of how the Presidents Of The USA got their name. Early on, they didn't really have a band name and they had a habit of starting off each set by announcing themselves as a random joke name. But when they tried "Presidents Of The United States Of America", they got a big crowd reaction. After a few times when they realized people liked the name, they decided that would be their band name. (At least, that's the story I heard.)
