New program announced Friday. New coach announced today. Congrats Georgetown College (NAIA in Georgetown, Kentucky) and Coach Palmer! georgetowncollegeathletics.com/sport/0/32.php From what I've heard, Palmer is bringing most of the Urbana (former D2) team with him to Georgetown. Should be interesting to see how adding a new program during these times of unknown will play out where colleges are likely already cutting costs. Kind of surprising to see a school adding any sport right now. Georgetown makes 12 teams in the Mid-South conference.

For the 12th team in that conference, here is last month's announcement from Truett McConnell University adding men's volleyball: tmbears.com/news/2020/4/17/tmu-mens-volleyball-joins-mid-south-conference.aspx. They are a new affiliate member of the Mid-South.

Looks like Masters is losing their coach: Got a good oppo though Curious to see who takes this job. The area is obviously ripe with talent, but the school is so conservative so it makes it very hard to find the right fit. Also, this team was bad, with maybe one good player, so the coach will need to get our and recruit in a really tough time to do that. I hope they get it done though. Makes for stronger competition on the west coast.

Their oppo was a 5'8 libero. they have a 6'6" oppo coming in that should be a big upgrade and will move their oppo back to libero. That should be 2 big upgrades to their starting lineup

Like I said, I hope they make it work and find success!

Here is an announcement of a new men's program that I don't believe has been mentioned yet on this thread: www.ccctigers.com/article/2962#.XshKrERKjcsCentral Christian College in McPherson, KS is adding men's volleyball starting with the 2020/2021 academic year. CCC is the first member of the Sooner Athletic Conference to add men's volleyball. The announcement doesn't mention if they will be affiliated with a particular conference.

Here's another announcement we missed of a new school adding men's volleyball next year: www.carlow.edu/24307.aspx Carlow University is in Pittsburgh, PA. Like Midway U, they are a member of the River State Conference. Another team competing in the Mid-South?
