So do we feel pretty good about Spears in 2025? Has anyone heard who might be “leaning Texas”? We probably would want a S, L, and OH I’m thinking. If Spears is the OH (crossing my fingers), who would be the S and L? Glass and Leimbach? Leimbach to UT would be hilarious for the rivalry. I genuinely think Cook would move heaven and earth to try and not let that happen. Like “I’ll pay your tuition to go to Minnesota” level of petty and I’m all here for it 🤣 |

Don't know anything about this player so had to google "leimbach volleyball". I avoided a rabbit hole of a player in Germany and found the twitter feed of this player. And again, no one lists their position, because you just....."know". I was looking at a tall player in some clips until I realized that Leimbach was the shorty in the back.

I see Coach Elliott following 2025 6'6 MB Hazel Alevok out of IMG Academy in Florida on Instagram. His other recent 2025 follow was of setter, Charlotte Glass. Are those are main targets along with Spears? Well, you can't teach 6'6. We already knew Elliott was on the IMG campus because of his little video endorsement of the program. Looking at footage, she seems really raw. Nothing wrong with that. Also, it's crazy to see a closeup of her face and then a widescreen of her on the court or in a lineup. Her face looks like a girl that is tiny, then she has these stilts for legs. Like most humans who grow that tall that fast, her body grows too fast to put on any weight. Actually, I just watched her IMG announcement video. She looks different there. I see Glass's name all the time as one of the great setters of the class. That would be an awesome class as far as I'm concerned. |

Her club team doesn't even play open division, so most of the highlights vs teams lower than open. She is a good player, but not as athletic as the top middles in the 2025 class. |

Looking at what Texas has now and what they will need come 2025, I’m assuming the coaching staff is gunning for at least 2 OHs and a middle. I’ve looked at Hazel, Zoe and Taylor this season and I would agree on Zoe Gillen-Malveaux and Taylor Harvey being the better options by a landslide. Zoe looked really good this last NTDP series. The big question mark is what OH is the next option after Spears and if a highly touted setter should be added given the 3 that will already be on the roster. |

i'm hoping we get cari spears and charlotte glass in class of '25...i believe taylor harvey is leaning towards stanford (if she gets accepted)...also i thought zoe gillian-malveaux was leaning towards usc?

Come 2025, we are likely to have Singletary as a redshirt junior. And, Bunton as a (redshirt) sophomore. Hopefully, both turn out to be bona fide starters worthy of All-American honors. We pursued 2024 MB Alec Rothe pretty hard before she ended up choosing Florida; we'll see if she signs with the Gators in November.
It wouldn't surprise me if we add an experienced upperclassmen MB transfer for 2024. Will be tough bringing in an elite 2025 high school MB who will want to compete with Singletary and Bunton for 2-3 seasons.

If we aren't really pursuing a 2025 OH other than Macaria Spears, perhaps that speaks volumes of our coaches' confidence level in signing her, especially since it doesn't appear we'll be signing a 2024 OH. |

Do you think there’s a chance that Rothe changes her mind? the scenario I could *somewhat* imagine if florida having a bad year this year without Markova, kelley, Beason, etc. and Mary wise gets let go after so many runs and talented teams with nothing to like truly show for it. At that point, Rothe could easily reopen her recruiting process, and you’d have to think Texas would be high |
