Total aside here, but Texas fans, can you please stop the frat boys who show up when Texas in the playoffs from constantly shouting "WE... ARE... TEXAS" with every bump, set, and spike? The only thing they know about volleyball is "BUMP... SET... SPIKE". Good on them for attending, but Jesus H. Christ it's annoying. Have to imagine it is for the players as well. It happens for every game. These fans show up regardless of playoffs. Seems like it’s goal is working.

The difference being that Texas does that chant during the point. UH does not.

At our school, they should "Go. Big. Red."

Keep Austin Weird. The kids leading it are are not frat boys or sorority girls (some may be separately) but certainly not Omega Theta Pi (Animal House). They are an energetic group of kids that probably wouldn’t make the cut in most frats but contribute in the best way they can which includes cheering for UT and annoying non-UT players and fans. Job well done. reportingtexas.com/the-smell-of-the-greasepaint-the-roar-of-the-hellraisers/

Sigh. Feeding the troll.
Listen. I was there the game where the cheerleaders got on a mic and said, "Hey y'all. We have a new thing we'd like you to do. When we receive the ball, we would like you to chant WE. ARE. TEXAS. as the ball is being played on our side of the court. Okay? Here, let us show you"
So no, it is not obnoxious frat boys. No, you don't write the AD. The Athletic department is the one who started this.
And the fact that it's one of the complaints of the opposing team's fans is proof that it's doing exactly what it was meant to do -> Get in the heads of opponents and their fans.
I've heard complaints from fanbases that Texas is being ungracious by yelling out "POINT TEXAS" after every point.
It's always something and more so because WE. ARE. TEXAS.

It’s sometimes more subdued depending on the game, but MN fans do this too with “Ski-U-Mah”

Christ in a Cracker. I guess I'm a troll.
Show me one Big Ten match this season where pseudo Nebraska fans chanted "Go... Big... Red..." during every bump-set-spike during the match.
I'll wait.
FYI, no one gives a %*$# if someone yells out "POINT TEXAS" after the point. That's awesome. That's the point of fans.

Let people enjoy things. Don’t go to the games. Stay home, put your tv on mute, and move on.

We don't need to show you what other fan bases do; you came to this thread to whine about Texas fans; nobody solicited your opinion. Nobody cares if you don't like what Texas fans do. Do you really think your post would be constructive? GTFO

I’ve talked to the student body and starting in 2022 they will be silent until a point is scored. They had no idea snooty educated volleyball fans found this ro be unseemly behavior at a college volleyball game. I’ve also reached out to Duke and let them know the Cameron Crazies are on thin ice. Thanks everyone.

Honestly, yes I did try to be constructive.
Has anyone asked the team if they want people who know nothing about volleyball yelling "WE... ARE... TEXAS"?
Wild guess but it's not helpful to them....

Took some late night calls but Gregory will also require a volleyball test (developed by VT) for students prior to picking up their tickets. If they don’t know what a 6-2, L2, or micro touch is or who the backup setter for Marquette was in 2009 then those rascals have no business cheering for their team in an NCAA volleyball game.
