Did not realize she was also a basketball star... any chance she pulls a Mendelson and we get a free scholarship back on volleyball? Likely not because basketball is full on scholarships at the moment and although she is a great player in basketball she’s not Texas good if that makes sense. D1 Women's Basketball is 15 scholarships and the Texas women's basketball roster is only 13 at the moment with one being a confirmed walk-on. They had Precious Johnson who left at the beginning of the fall semester and Ashley Chevalier leave mid-season. They have 3 seniors and 3 juniors right now and no announcements have been made about anyone taking their Covid year so I don't think we know if we're full the following two years or not. Whether or not she's Vic material or not, I have no comment on. |

Devin at No. 3 for next year is a pretty big deal. Big arm and so much potential. I can't wait to see how she makes her game better with smarter shot selection/tooling.

Singletary was Top 5 last year in this list for the top 25 underclassmen. I'm assuming Mendelson's addition probably pushed her out. |

I would assume Texas is pretty high on her list Interesting recruit. Smaller pin - I will do my research. |

I believe it's September before the 2024 recruits can start taking official visits. IIRC we started getting commits from the 2023 class in the fall of 2021 so that likely will be the same timeframe for 2024 recruits. The visit that was mentioned above would have been an unofficial visit if it was a 2024 recruit. Also the recruit wouldn't have been allowed to have any contact with any athletic representative while on campus. So most likely it was similar to a non-athlete visiting a school. |
