My memory is not what it used to be (j/k), but I recall when Fischer decommitted from North Carolina she considered Texas and Nebraska, in addition to Kentucky. I'd guess she also has a relationship with Jerritt and Sully. I just don't recall if she ever visited Texas at any time. Well she did during last year's tournament, lol. Played pretty well too Sophie Fischer was actually recruited as an outside hitter. She played outside for Kentucky and actually switched to playing middle at Georgia.

How often do you see a team play a true 4 rotation middle who attacks from the back row leaving their libero on the bench? she’s 37th in the country with 4 kills per set AS A MIDDLE, tied with Kennedy Martin. I don’t know if we would use her as creatively as Georgia does but she’s a weapon for sure.

Correct me if I'm wrong. It's a lower net for middle school right because it looks like her whole torso is over the net lmao

also it's insane how long Harvey is waiting
as far as I know, it's between Texas and Neb. Was Stanford in the mix? That's the only one I could see because they do have room for her, right?

I mean, it’s not insane if she chooses Stanford. I’ve always thought of Stanford as the favorite. Their recruits have to go through the admissions process. And boy do they have room for her. She’s basically guaranteed to start day one. They flat out don’t have enough middle blockers, and the admissions process makes the portal impossible for all practical purposes. Texas needs her, too, pretty desperately, but even Texas isn’t quite at the level of desperation Stanford is at for the MB position just because of the portal. I like recruits taking a longer time to decide. Especially now that there’s no limitations on official visits. Tour the country as far as I’m concerned.

A school can get a waiver for the return flight, or the return flight can be on “the student athlete’s own dime” nod nod wink wink. Friday to Sunday doesn’t sound like some kind of egregious abuse of the rules.
