What’s the situation here. Did we have a scholarship open up for a MB that wasn’t open before?

What’s the situation here. Did we have a scholarship open up for a MB that wasn’t open before? With losing 2 middles to graduation and not bringing any in we were vying for a transfer most likely anyways so the thought was there would be an open scholarship.

I would take 4 years of Ayden Ames over one year of any middle that has another year of eligibility honestly. Sophie Fischer would be the one possible exception. omg!! it’s gonna be a young but fun BATTLE for those two middle spots between Mari, Nya, and Ayden.

That's a huge get and totally unexpected! I would assume that playing time is probably part of her consideration too since she might not get the starting spot next year at Nebraska. And that also explains why NE has been recruiting Taylor Harvey.

Scholarship math is fungible at this point. Playing time is what UT could guarantee.

Never heard of her until just now, but that's not surprising since I don't follow recruiting closely. Anyone give a short summation of this recruit? I had to assume she's a 2024 recruit since it was spelled out reactions and...again, I don't follow HS players.

Consensus top middle blocker in the class and top 5 player overall. She shined on youth national teams and adjusted very well to the faster pace. Hits the slide at an elite level for an high school player. Dripping with athleticism. I believe she played/plays 6ro outside for her high school team.

And, we are the benefactor!
