I would take 4 years of Ayden Ames over one year of any middle that has another year of eligibility honestly. Sophie Fischer would be the one possible exception. omg!! it’s gonna be a young but fun BATTLE for those two middle spots between Mari, Nya, and Ayden. Never heard of her until just now, but that's not surprising since I don't follow recruiting closely. Anyone give a short summation of this recruit? I had to assume she's a 2024 recruit since it was spelled out reactions and...again, I don't follow HS players. She's one of the the top or the top MB recruit for 24. |

Some of the comments by Nebraska fans on social media bashing a high schooler is really telling. She made a decision that was best for her and doesn’t have to leave the state while doing. Specifically Nebraska fans accusing her of leaving due to NIL…Do they think she wasn’t going to get any there? and probably more with their amazing support! It is interesting looking at recruit's social media. I'm glad they don't take postings down. But it is bemusing to see her and her parents decked out in Nebraska gear and celebrating her commitment and then presto-magico have her and her parents in burnt orange celebrating her change of plans announcement. (I don't snag pictures from individual's SM since it's their property)
AND, I've always told newbies to volleyball that recruits rarely ever flip and not this close to signing day. Wow, something must have gone down.

Yes, I haven't seen top recruits flip especially rivals too. Anybody else done this? |

No one is accusing her of leaving due to NIL or sholarship... If anything it's because of the competition in the middles. |

Yes, I haven't seen top recruits flip especially rivals too. Anybody else done this? Choboy flipped to NE around this time last year. Obviously a coaching change is a factor. |

Those people are dumb and we make no claim for them. NIL is the last thing Nebraska would lose someone on. Bashing a 16 year old for changing what is likely the biggest choice of their life is also very very stupid. Can we be bummed/miffed it happened now and question who had influence in it, sure. But the rest is junk. If playing time really is the reason she left, I hope she understands that she'll have to compete just as hard to play at Texas as she would have at Nebraska. |
