Confused on why y’all want Sophie Fischer whenever we have 3 middles. have you seen Sophie Fischer? I don’t think we “need” her, but we didn’t “need” any of our transfers. Sophie is arguably the best middle in the country, and if not best, then by far the most impactful. even more so than Amber Igiege from Hawaii

Sophie can easily line up as opposite too look I just think I’m in the same headspace as slxpress, which is I’m not sure Devin is ever gonna get a fair chance to play at this point, so if I’m writing her off, then I would love someone like a Londot or a Fischer WAY more than someone like Whitney L, who the staff is showing interest in. hopefully we’re both wrong and Devin will be an incredible opposite next season, who hopefully can help out in serve receive and even flirt with 6ro since her defense is good. but I’m not gonna sit here and hope for that when I have nothing to make me believe that will happen. Londot, if she does even enter the portal, CAN. she’s passing better than both of our pins currently, plays solid defense, and can hit OOS and carry a big workload on offense. much, much bigger than Jenna or Molly could, and likely Devin too

Londot makes to many errors imo her error % this season is 17.3% on 36.7% of her teams swings. Madi’s is 14.5% on 32.3% of her teams swings. is that really all that different?

Confused on why y’all want Sophie Fischer whenever we have 3 middles. Singletary has had O’Neal, Bergmark, and Caffey to look up to. Bunton has had Bergmark and O’Neal to look up to while at Texas. Is the philosophy to keep getting senior transfers while our freshman recruits sit on the bench till they’re seniors? Allick and Jackson are having phenomenal freshman seasons at Nebraska while they were middles. It’s possible to have young middles show success. Marianna has proven she can be a starter. Ames as well. Bunton has an amazing vertical as well. When facing Londot at tOSU twice, I was worried since there was so much written about her. While she did contribute points against Texas, it wasn't anything spectacular.
Same with Fischer. Read a lot about her and faced her last year in Austin. Yeah, she contributed but not to the level where she seems as a must get.
I agree that Ames if is as great as she's supposed to be, having MB2 and MB3 be Singletary or Bunton should be fine.
The 5 transfers in for 2022 was very unusual and seems to flip the concept of home-grown/trained on its head. But, that was a pretty rare case where 4 out of the 5 were significant contributors.
Like I said, my fuzzy memory of historical transfers IN has always been one-a-year, and even back then volleyball gave immediate eligibility for most conferences (cough, BIG, cough). I sound naive, but unless there's another Zoe Fleck out there, build what you've got.

Fischer this season and Fischer last season are two completely different players. she’s averaging over 4 kills per set as a MIDDLE. they literally bump set her OOS because she’s THAT good now. she has more swings than Asjia, Bella, Molly (and Mari) combined. last years 6-2 for Georgia didn’t allow her to run the slide, where she’s most deadly.

this is all for fun anyways. I kinda doubt Sophie leaves, as I said earlier. but if she hits the portal… LOL, you HAVE to try, especially when we’re losing both starting middles. idc who’s behind them. I want to win championships, and almost equally as importantly, I DONT want Nebraska winning championships, and they’ll most definitely be the favorites until their current freshman class graduates.
