Oh, wow, did we speak this into existence? Everyone, hurry up and send your wishlist into the universe NOW. Me: - Texas hits .335 for the rest of the season - every match is a 15-block match - Jenna gets permanently angry to make VT naysayers pay - Ella grows another 2"

I like this:
WHY TEXAS? "Texas is my home! As a middle blocker, I could not pass up the opportunity to become a part of the rich history of Middle Blocker University. Texas has produced some of the most successful middle blockers in the country, and I hope to take my game to the national level someday. Texas offers an unbelievable education, amazing fan base, and it's close to home. I cannot wait to play in front of Longhorn Nation!"

Naur! the only transfer I personally feel like who would be worth it is Fischer. Devin/Byrd will be fine at OPP and tbh Singletary/Burton/Ames will probably be fine at MB but I'd like a little more depth there personally. I disagree. With Philipps gone in 2024 and Wenaas ongoing struggle, we need a reliable pin who can terminate. The fact that Kahahawai can’t seem to beat out Wenaas, a player who has hit .000 in a few matches now, does not give me the confidence that we’re “fine”. I do agree Byrd will be solid at either OH or OPP, but I’m not confident in what Kahahawai/Wenaas can bring to the table next year that will make a difference from this season, which means we should probably consider the portal for an OPP or OH over a MB. We need someone who can be Skinners equal counterpart — I don’t see Wenaas or Kahahawai being in that role. If anything, we’re more fine at MB since Singletary will be a RS Soph, Bunton a RS Freshman, and Ames a true (but highly ranked) freshman. I agree. Tbh when I said this I forgot about Wenaas entirely. Shes got to go. Idc who takes her job next year whether it be someone in the portal or someone on the bench. But she’s GOT TO GO

But she’s GOT TO GO parras looking like the one that got away “Got away? From the bench maybe, sure. She just wasn’t ever going to be utilized that way at Texas. I’ve said it before but Elliott shouldn’t ever recruit another undersized hitter again. They just don’t fit the mold and he isn’t going to play them. She didn’t get meaningful time last season. She left and has found a place to shine at TCU, although with mixed success. It’s why I’m betting the farm that Devin won’t be on the roster next year either. It just doesn’t make sense for her to stay and risk those last two years of eligibility. Not for someone with her professional potential. I was never excited about Wenaas. I didn’t like her coming in and playing over our recruits. Our very good recruits. Maybe not Nebraska level recruiting, but god who is these days? Practically the entire u19 squad. Feels real good to snag Ames from them though, and with Lauenstein waiting in the wings the pipeline might continue to deliver. But really I just love watching this team play and improve week to week. Last year’s team was everything we thought they could be and having that fourth national championship in the books is enough to hold me over for a while. Everyone may not feel that way, that’s ok. I can’t hold that against them. I’m all for the discussion, even where I don’t agree. But not winning it all last year would’ve been a tough pill to swallow. I don’t have that same sense of urgency this year, for better or for worse. We’ll see how the season ends up.” IYKYK

Her fans got on my nerves and with her battling a recurrent injury at TCU I’m not sure she’d fix the problem anyway

At this point you have to think these hitters aren't in tempo with swindle..... right? Wennas was a great hitter prior. These kids aren't clicking with their setter. No tempo, no consistency. I think that changes things overnight for UT. I would think a setter would be top priority in the portal

She might not be clicking with Swindle and that absolutely could be what is happening, but I’d be shocked if her 3 years at Minnesota averaged to higher than .250
