I know people were speculating that Kruger was a walk on but Texas posted that Kruger signed a few hours ago. I’m assuming that means she’s on scholarship after all? Is Kruger leaving early? Don’t you still get announced if you have already been admitted into the school, even if you’re not on scholarship? Schools can publicize roster additions when one of two things are completed: 1) Recruit signs a national letter of intent or scholarship agreement, or 2) Recruit gets admitted into the university and pays a deposit (usually a housing or enrollment deposit). Thus, Kruger could still be a walk-on and get publicized because of option 2.

PrepDig updated their rankings yesterday. Vander Wal still holding strong at #2 overall and #2 ranked OH Spears moved up from 5 to #4 overall and still #3 ranked OH Harvey moved up from 11 to #6 overall and still #1 ranked MB Krueger moved down from 22 to #24 overall and no longer the #1 Libero. She is now #2 behind Aniya Warren who is actually the Libero on Vander Wal’s team. Gaido moved down from #45 to #51 overall but is still the #4 ranked OPP

I have to ask, if you are a premiere setter, why would you go to UT?

I have to ask, if you are a premiere setter, why would you go to UT? we have two recent grad setters who are having successful pro careers, one of which is in the USA pipeline, I believe. Our other two most recent setters are having success coaching. It’s not the worst place to set depending on your overall goals and ambitions in life, let’s not pretend like it is.

and now...I put you on block

Thank you for answering a serious question with a thoughtful and serious response. I don’t follow the Longhorns that closely but given the ups and downs this season I was curious as to the thoughts of UT fans.

You don't have to follow the Longhorns closely to know that the team is a back-to-back national champion and has played in 3 of the last 4 championship matches. Why would any player want to come to Texas? Unless there is an extenuating circumstance (i.e. family of Aggies or whatever), I'm guessing most premiere players at any position would consider Texas

Honestly I’d love for one of our current players or incoming freshman to be a solid 6 rotation player, but it makes me nervous to think that 2/3 of our receivers in any given rotation will have never played a game of college volleyball….. That’s why I’d like to see a 6 rotation outside and/or a DS be what we go after in the portal. It would allow us some flexibility as we work through so much new next year. As far as Stowers specifically, it doesn’t matter to me if it is her or not.
