Wisconsin and Minnesota are my co favorites to fall early As a Wisconsin fan I am most nervous about an "on" UCLA team more than anything. If Mac May gets going that could mean trouble. I wouldn't worry too much. As long as Wisky passes decent, they should be able to handle UCLA. Not long ago, after Plummer returned, Stanford beat UCLA 25-18, 25-18, 25-20. That's a pretty wide margin of victory.

I kinda feel like you missed/ignored the point of what I said but okie doke. Your point was that USC is dangerous because they have Lanier and people behind her. And maybe that Baylor is kind of just the Pressley show. My point is that this Baylor team has only allowed their vulnerabilities to best them once- which is a point that cannot be ignored. If Lanier could carry her team as much as it’s being made out to be, they should’ve won more games down the stretch. I just don’t see Lanier getting the best of Baylor when no one really has been able to. Maybe that’ll come back to bite me- but with Stafford, McGhee and van der Mark playing like they have been, Baylor is a lot more put together than being suggested. Baylor’s only competition in the Big 12 was Texas where as USC played in one of the toughest conference this year. Don’t get me wrong Baylor is good, but they have not been in this position before. Also USC took Texas to 4 games early in the year. Baylor should win but an upset would not surprise me.

Nebraska is already in the Elite 8. They get the winner of Hawaii RPI 11/Pablo 30 and with a key injury, or USD/WSU, none of which would be a threat.
Nebraska is the one team that got a free pass into Elite 8.

I dont think Wisconsin is vulnerable in the first weekend. It is less about Wisconsin or Minnesota being vulnerable based on how they are playing. If they play well, they will win. But, the competition is of a quality that means that If they have a poor match, they can lose. That is not true for many teams in 1st and 2nd round matches (Looking at you, Penn State).

Fair point but I believe Washington, Baylor and Minnesota all are more applicable in the sense I think you mean. Wisky hit the wall pretty hard vs Penn State and still almost won.

It's gonna be fun to come back to this thread after SFA knocks out USC in the first round . . . No one really knows much about SFA because they haven't played a ton of notable teams other than Rice - but they have a good RPI. I hope they're a formidable team. It's good to see new teams achieve (though I like USC too).
