Amber unfortunately really cost us set 1 and 2 with three horrible net violations.... Just looking at the match stats, Brooke Van Sickle, Mckenna Ross, and Noreen Iosia played well offensively. I expected BVS to play well but good job by Ross. Looks like Hawaii's middles didn't contribute much offensively. When you watch the match, it's clear Nebraska's entire gameplan focused on shutting down the middle attack. They got a couple kills early, but Nebraska shut down Amber and Sky the rest of the way. Hellvig wasn't much of a factor either.

Schwarzenbach is gonna get chewed out. as she should, she didn't have her best match, defensively or offensively.

Yea there was a definite lack of middle production but in all honesty I felt like Hawaii was counted out by the announcers all game but Karch and Sunderland are well known to be biased especially against undersized outside hitters

That’s what a a regular person would say, a Volleyball player/coach would say there were up to 29 other points that Nebraska scored that cost them the set as a whole

She’s obviously not a very good attacker, but she isn’t even looking to attack. Net errors didn’t help either. As a player who really isn’t looked to to provide much in the way of points, her body language is what I really struggle with. Block balls, give teammates a little energy.

Schwarzenbach is gonna get chewed out. as she should, she didn't have her best match, defensively or offensively. It gets frustrating. Not lots of improvement this sophomore season. Sigh...

much respect. If we didn’t have John Cook, I’d want her. Although I don’t see her residing in Lincoln. 😁
