Norene looks disgusted. Like why the F are you interviewing me? It was her last match ever, shes extremely emotional and distraught. What do you expect? Brooke has another year, norene does not. It is always harder for the seniors. Yes, of course that understandable. Just commenting on what I see. If I was in her position, taking an interview would suck! I wouldn't want to do it. So....Yeah, I feel her pain.

not even when it’s 23-23 in the final four in set 3 when you’re down 0-2??? Haha bc she delivered at that point! Just so we’re clear, I wouldn’t either. And I wasn’t happy she got that set. But I had to make a joke. Got ya. Even when it works it doesn’t make it a good choice. She’s just not a great competitor. you are entered in the dumbest thing said on the net today award...way to go. You can not like her You can not think she is a highly skilled player You can think she is too error prone or whatever else causes someone to not be as great as others But saying she isn't a great competitor...well that is just stupid on its face. There isn't a single player on Husker's team who isn't a great competitor even if they are not all the most highly talented or skilled. Just dumbest thing to say IMHO

I think you will have a hard time finding anyone credible describing Callie as a great competitor. I didn’t say she was bad, or soft. She gets challenged on that very issue on a daily basis which I don’t think surprises anyone. its also pretty hard to say “IMHO” when there is zero humility in your stated opinion. Have a nice night.

Even though it was a sweep, it definitely didn’t feel like it. Hawaii has a really good team and going to be a threat in the future. Hope we can get more matches between Nebraska and Hawaii The Wahine have 3 pre-conference tournament, why not come out to one of them. Playing the Wahine will not hurt your RPI that is for sure. Probably b/c they never invite for the dates Huskers have open??? Just a guess. Next year we start off with Stanford, Louisville & Kentucky...will also have Creighton ...so there is that too

We'd be lost if we didn't have the Men's season right around the corner. Hawai'i is the favorite to win the National Title in the men's game so hopefully, that'll take away some of this sting. I love this Wahine team.

is this coming soon? How long do we have to wait? We already established that he was joking the entire time, so your pettiness doesn’t land you mean slow...I had to catch up, but playing however you wish to rep yourself...I am good with it either way

Hawaii and Nebraska will almost play each other in the preseason for the same reason—they actually make money from home games and don’t want to lose revenue for no reason.
If either team goes on the road it’s usually so they can visit the home/area of a player on the team.

Tough loss. Great season though Wahine. The program took a step back in the right direction. Let this loss motivate you to come back strong and work hard. Thanks for a great season again. Hawaii faithful will always have your backs.

Who is it that sits right next to John Cook on the bench? It used to be Kayla, but now it's someone else - maybe a volunteer coach?

as she should, she didn't have her best match, defensively or offensively. She really doesn’t get chewed out. Not a kid who is going to respond to that. She’s obviously not a very good attacker, but she isn’t even looking to attack. Net errors didn’t help either. As a player who really isn’t looked to to provide much in the way of points, her body language is what I really struggle with. Block balls, give teammates a little energy. She does what Cook asks of her to do, and she does it the best or she wouldn't be in there playing...I will take actual performance over theatrical expression any day of the week. The reality is, she needs a more perfect set to perform at a level that is your standards (not Cook's thank god), and that isn't doable most games for whatever reason. She is awesome at shutting down the player she is assigned to and in Cook's game plans that is what is needed. She is also just a true Soph. I have to catch myself about Hames for the same reason, she being just a true Soph, but that is what we have to work with. If Callie wasn't great, don't you think Zuhn or even Szabo would have already surpassed her? Or are they just totally wasted scholarships in your eyes? It's not like Callie is a captain of the team or anything preventing her from being benched.

not setting Jazz to continue her domination was a huge mistake IMHO Yes, there were a couple curious decisions. All in all I think Hames has been getting better and better the last month. Well I don't disagree with this, she has improved a ton just in the last 3 weeks, from the level of play she had all year...But she gets very predictable at times, almost like if you look at a stat sheet you can tell she is going to force balls to whomever (unless it is Callie) isn't getting their % of sets, regardless of who is hot, who is not and who the defense is taking out...scripted I would say. She needs to be more in the moment, force the defense to adjust to her selection and then change staying ahead of them...eventually the skills will come through like being able to jump set to any hitter from anywhere on the court, but for now I would like her to manage better, and speed up her sets to enable her hitters more. Just my opinion so not worth much..
