you mean slow...I had to catch up, but playing however you wish to rep yourself...I am good with it either way No hard feelings, huskerrob. Congrats on the victory. See, I am still slow Still catching up It was a great match, neither team has anything to be ashamed of as it was what we fans expect out of a regional semi ...awesome competition...lots of participation...mistakes and successes ...and there seemed from my vantage point to be a lot of respect towards the other side...which isn't as common as one would think at this level of the tournament...really hoping these squads get to play more often, it seems to be beneficial to both.

This Badger fan found the match frustrating (first 2 sets...we left after that) as it was more about Hawaii making mistakes and giving away points than it was about Nebraska winning. Both set points 1 & 2 were Hawaii errors, for example. It totally could have been 2-0 Hawaii with less mistakes...the energy in the Field House was with the 'Bows about 75% of the time. I hope to see Hawaii improve (mature) for next year...their defense, particularly in the first set, was really impressive. Amber unfortunately really cost us set 1 and 2 with three horrible net violations.... Just catching up... go easy on the youngster. She is great, but young. Both teams are young, and will be even better next year. Hopefully they will meet up again soon (in addition to their beach meetings... the bows will take those...)

Next year Nebraska will be old, however, players pretty much guaranteed to see the court will consist of 4 seniors (Stivrins, Sun, Sweet, Densberger) & 3 juniors (Miller, Schwarzenbach, Hames). The lone Sophmore will be Knuckles. Kalynn Meyer will probably challenge for time on the court as well, as potentially the lone freshman to see the court...of course that is speculation.

I'm still amazed that Hawaii got this far with 2 undersized OH's, one a walkon DS and another DS/OH coming off a knee inury. Both really elevated their play as the season progressed. Especially proud of Ross. I did not know this about their defense. They did great for this team. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed watching them today in person. AND THEY BROUGHT A PARTY! If this is anything like a home game is I want in!

Schwarzenbach is who she is at this point. Not great. Nebraska could use a transfer to come in an challenge her to at least provide a believable decoy.
I was actually impressed by how Hawaii ran a diverse creative offense. Nebraska, despite the sweep, remains so slow and predictable.

It's the scheme/talent curve.

Still proud of the bows! Really excited to see what’s in for them next year with another European OH (hope it pans out) coming in and these freshmen with post-season experiences.
P.S. Can Nebraska come to Hawaii for a pre-season tournament?

I wonder if their annual trip to Hawaii for beach season undermines the chances of an indoor (in Hawaii) match-up... don't know, but I hope not.

The retired Husker senior citizens can sit next to the Aunties and get leid Hawaiian style and talk story. That in itself would be an experience and they'd want to come every year after that.
