Okay you can definitely have that opinion but mines stands as of course Nebraska’s very presence on the other side of the net probably made the Hawaii players feel like the needed to do more. You could tell most of them were pressing because the moment was just too big at the time. I didn’t see that at all. You should invest in glasses. But then again you were the same person ripping Hawaii in their interview so you’re in your own world. Very typical to come back with aggressive comments especially after I didn’t come at you with any of my own. But since you wanna play with this glasses diagnosis, here we go. with or without your expert suggestion for glasses, Hawai’i was still outclassed by Nebraska and pushed into errors that weren’t being made all season. Do you think they would’ve made such errors if it was a lesser opponent on the other side? I think not. I understand though that you are a diehard Hawaii fan but maybe you need to take off your rose colored glasses and see that sometimes your favorite team flat out loses because the team on the other side is just better. I would like to make a judgment on you since you passed judgment on me and say that you don’t sound like someone who has experienced athletics at all as a player or a coach so I will forgive your misled comments. Let me encourage you to turn off the match cause I would like to recap for you.....Hawaii lost 3-0 to Nebraska. They tried their best and I applaud them for that and was cheering them on to unseat Nebraska. Nebraska just believes that they belong there. They also started two freshman but they performed steadily and didn’t let their errors pile up. Oh and concerning my “rip” of the press conference, despite my gripe with the pre match presser I very much enjoyed the wonderful answers that the Hawaii team has at the post match presser and thought they spoke very well.

I thought I read somewhere that UH beach coach Jeff Hall will not play Nebraska again in the near future. He was saying something about wanting a more challenging schedule and a team like Nebraska really doesn’t help UH in terms of strength of schedule. Nebraska field a team to cross train and necessarily win. UH got nothing to gain from playing them. Hahaha. SOS mattering in beach vb It does actually since their are no automatic qualifiers for conference champions.

Lol. Nebraska won in 3 so yes, they were the better team today. I didn’t watch sets 2 and 3 yet so I won’t speak about those sets but Hawaii’s errors in game 1 had nothing to do with Nebraska. If you paid any attention at all this season, you would have known that errors like these are nothing new for Hawaii. The difference is they can get away with it against other teams. Against Nebraska, they couldn’t. Your bs opinion of Hawaii not being ready for the moment is laughable.

Hawai'i had more kills, more digs, more assists and only 1 fewer block than Nebraska, but had 23 errors to Nebraska's 10. Nebraska's hitters hit for higher percentages and were more efficient. Meanwhile, Williams hit .000 and Igiede hit negative, with 3 and 2 kills respectively. If either of the middles had a normal night, it might have been a different match.

You think my opinion is laughable but haven’t backed it up yet. My opinion is that all of your analysis is gathered with your infamous rose colored glasses on and your lack of actual experience in a situation like this as a participant in athletics. The moment was too big. But BIK, don’t watch the last two sets. You’ll probably feel inclined to apologize to me for your laughable aggression over something that is my opinion. And for goodness sakes while your attempting to take of your rose colored glasses please put on some footwear. Being barefoot for as long as your have is worrisome. Ringworm is a real thing you know?

Being barefoot is essential for human health, especially on the beach where there' no non-native electric fields in the ground/sand. We gain natural electron flow from the earth through bare feet, which aids our mitochondrial efficiency.

Who is it that sits right next to John Cook on the bench? It used to be Kayla, but now it's someone else - maybe a volunteer coach? It's Khat Bell.

I think it’s insane that anyone is viewing Callie as the teams liability, she was the underestimated player of the match in my opinion. Broken thumb and still got her blocks and M2 kills. I’d anything it’s your easy to read setter. Callie had 1 kill and 2 errors and hit negative 111. and yet she wasn't the most underperforming Husker on the court. She can't go steal the ball from Hames to get more sets to balance her #'s out, so once the trend is lower than normal, she doesn't get the chance to hit her way out of it, like a freshman w/27 swings for a whopping 7k & 3E or like a Captain w/17 swings for a blistering 7k & 2E. I agree those players shouldn't take any flack for their performance, I just disagree that Callie should, when she shouldn't get any worse than any others. I thought Miller, Stivrins, Kubik, Schwarzenbach, & Densberger all under performed today. I thought this was a setback in Hames' location and tempo but she had an avg defensive game and ended up setting 12A/set...I just don't get why the same lot of naysayers comes out everytime Callie doesn't have a 6K game. She led the team in blocks and we won't even get into the difference in soft blocks, as she led that too.

First, congrats to the Huskers and good luck today! This was the first time I've seen them play this year. The adjustments made by the coaching staff and the players were just enough to get them the sweep. They played well enough to win. I think that if Hawaii had started to play better, we may have seen Nebraska step up too.
That said, congrats to Coach Rob and the Wahine! They looked solid in the first set, but you could tell some were understandably nervous; they were a lot less jovial than what we're used to. Had they won the first, I think they would have played looser. I know, shoulda, coulda, woulda. Still, I am and the state of Hawaii is so proud of all of them!
Looking forward to next year!
Btw, is Lexi Sun hapa? She's freakin beautiful!

Looking at the stats Wahine had 23 errors! Dang that’s practically one set they gave the Huskers in free points. I think that’s the most they had all season for one match. Definitely not gonna win matches against teams like Nebraska with that many errors. ☹️

I am at Wisconsin fan and watched the entire match in person. I wasn’t rooting for either team. In fact, before the match I told my wife I wanted it to go five sets and be a really competitive match. That being said, I don’t understand some of the comments on this thread. For starters, Hawaii came out with guns blazing. They were far from intimidated. They were the aggressor in set one and Nebraska had to adjust to Hawaii’s tempo. The first set was some really good volleyball.. Hawaii plays with a lot of emotion. I believe that starts with their head coach. Unfortunately, that worked against them when they lost set one. The body language by many of the team and coaches was dejected. They knew they probably should have won the first set. I think that really affected them because they didn’t put up the same level of intensity in the second set. Some of that was due to Nebraska’s adjustments. Some of that was due to the fact that Nebraska is really good. But I think if Hawaii would have won the first set, it would have been a very different match. Likely 5 sets.
