Reconsider what? Fall hasn't been canceled. IRVINE, CA (Dec. 10, 2020) – The Big West Conference Board of Directors announced today that Big West fall sport competition will not be conducted in 2020-21.https://bigwest.org/news/2020/12/10/cross-country-big-west-cancels-fall-sports.aspx Did you actually read the article? That's for the 2020-2021 academic year which means Fall sports from 2020. Not for Fall 2021.

For those that know first hand, besides Chaminade, are there any other competitive schools with women’s volleyball programs on the islands? I know it won’t happen but i would’ve love to see at least one exhibition game vs anyone that could be film with all the bells and whistles of announcers, real refs, etc. Pay tribute to the referee who passed, etc.
I will personally file a lawsuit against coronavirus if CMac isn’t announcing in the Fall lol

Are they programs worth having exhibition matches with? I’m sure the talent difference will probably be significant but i figure no one is having a real season so why not give the volleyball capital of the world what they want lol

Hawai'i Pacific and UH Hilo. Are they programs worth having exhibition matches with? I’m sure the talent difference will probably be significant but i figure no one is having a real season so why not give the volleyball capital of the world what they want lol Hilo (the city; do not know about the campus) was a C-19 hotbed until just recently (I live ~ 1 1/2 hours away). Also, there are still travel protocols between Hawai'i County, where Hilo is, and the island of Oahu: where UH + HPU are. Honolulu is still a friggin' mess pandemic-wise. I'd think the inherent costs/caution are too high!

I mean precautions will obviously be taken to mitigate virus spread but from what records show...the 7 day average is pretty low...not saying it’s not serious but there are other places in the country managing life effectively and safely with higher averages. Idk what the hospital infrastructure is locally but the numbers don’t jump out as “a friggin mess” at first glance

Other factors severely restricting, or prohibiting, any fantastical concept of UH VB "exhibitions" are the ongoing quarantining and UH budget crunch/ testing costs.

Oh lord lol you went the “you don’t live here route” 🙄🙄🙄 Nevermind, im not interested in having a doomist conversation with anyone but if someone wants to speak on what something like this would look like, fans or not, I’ll entertain that. Covid rapid test kits average $28 and the virus doesn’t appear out of thin air and enter the body. Teams are making it happen with even more issues working against them. Not interested in crying forever sorry

Not interested in crying forever sorry Men and Women BB played UH Hilo and HPU at the SimpliFi back in December.
Lt. Gov. Green said the state and counties are prepping a plan for easing restrictions on travel and gatherings, due mid-Feb.
"In a memo Thursday to Gov. David Ige, the four county mayors and other leaders, Green set out a proposal for updating Hawaii’s COVID-19 policies as early as Feb. 15."
"As vaccinations continue to ramp up, Green told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser on Friday he expects that in the next two weeks the total will rise to 250,000 inoculations. Combined with relatively low COVID case numbers and hospital capacity at its “best marks in several months,” this is the right time to “give people some assurance that we have a stable plan for the future, and that’s going to be important for how people plan for the rest of the year,” he said.
'Before long, I think many states and countries are going to begin to use vaccination status as a way to go through these pre-travel testing protocols, and so I figured we ought to take the bull by the horns and do it.' "

I'm assuming this means Jolie isn't going to play in the fall?

Sounds undetermined, just that she's thinking things through. Whatever happens, wish her the best.
