I didn't see a Bows in the pros thread, so I'll post here instead.

Any chance that 2022 setter Adonia Faumuina will end up at Hawaii or is she a lock elsewhere? She has that all around game that Hawaii is known for

Re. Allie Andrews, no one will know the real reasons behind a decision. It's possible that the decision was based on 100% emotion. Perhaps she liked the Baylor girls more than the Hawaii girls? Perhaps she liked the 2020/21 Baylor recruits more than Kate Lang, Georgia Via, and Anna Kiraly, all of whom she communicates via social media? Perhaps she loved the spacious modern suites of the freshmen dorms at Baylor more than the standard 1980s style of the Hawaii freshmen dorms? LOL! Maybe she didn't like seeing all the empty seats at Aloha Stadium? Or maybe she simply liked Ryan McGuyre (how the hell do you spell his name? LOL) more than Robyn Ah Mow, who's more of an acquired taste? Maybe she wanted to be closer to Chip and Joanna Gaines?

Re. Keonilei Akana Fight On! says in the "Future for USC" thread that he heard a rumor from a fan that Akana may be having second thoughts about USC and may play for Hawaii instead. Of course, this is somewhat credible to me because Brent Crouch is gone and Akana was a Crouch recruit. The new USC head coach (rumored to be Brad Keller) may want to bring his own girls in, as would I if I were hired as a new head coach...anywhere.

Hawaii would be so much better for K Akana in that fans would be more appreciative and she would get a full tuition scholarship rather than a partial scholarship at USC, per an interview. Hawaii has 2 scholarships on the table and a need for good passing?

I have seen Keonilei at multiple UH men's basketball games sitting with her sister and the other Wahine volleyball players. I'm sure there is some bonding and friendship being established there. It still hard to decommitt from an prestigious school like USC though. What Keonilei can count if she indeed choose UH is the chance to play right away since UH have not recruited or even invited any backrow player to walk on. Its Kyra, Janelle and Keonilei. Kyra is a senior and I don't think Janelle is ready for big time PT yet.

Man, K. Akana is exactly the type of player our last scholarship should go to. She'd potentially be a 3 or 4 year starter at libero for UH.

BTW...Keonilei was offered a scholarship after year one by former coach Brent Crouch. Now that Crouch have left for Auburn and Brad Keller have taken over, Keonilei might not have that offer on the table so she might be force to look at other options. I hope UH is that option.
UH should be a very attractive offer for her. Not only that she could get PT early for the indoor but if she wants to play beach, she will have a chance also. UH is loaded with seniors(5 this season) and JRs so her chance to be part of the beach team is there for her.
I hope she make it known soon.

Keonilei's scholarship at USC would start off in her freshman year. Fact. She is not going to 'walk on' anywhere.

The only position we lack depth in is libero.

Keonilei's scholarship at USC would start off in her freshman year. Fact. She is not going to 'walk on' anywhere. Not a fact. She said she was on a 2/4 deal a year or so ago, and if it’s offered your freshman year, it needs to be a 4/4 deal. Unless something changed with USC

I don't care what you think she said. You don't have a better source than I do.
