I believe one consequence of the coronavirus on the Wahine program is that the Aunties will not be allowed to kiss the athletes. (Hugging is up for negotiation.) Anyway, regardless of the Aloha spirit, I get freaked out when people want to kiss me on the mouth. I mean, come on...

Cannot wait to see how good Kate Lang can become under the tutelage of Robyn Ah Mow. I mean, Kate Lang will be the first Rainbow Wahine setter to have 4 years of teachings from Robyn Ah Mow. Kate is one very lucky and fortunate setter to learn from Robyn.

Lang will also have fantastic hitters when she reports to the Wahine Team. Fantastic hitters but totally different type of hitters. Will be interesting for sure.

Byrd or Lang??? Run a 6-2? Tough question. Can't determine until everyone's here and the tema can practice, but given how inexperienced these setters are with the Hawaii hitters AND the fact that they seem like two different kinds of setters, I'd go with a 5-1. I like what I see in Lang. Byrd comes in as a blocking sub.

Ugh, I get that there's no sports, but I'd still rather read whatever sports stories than some of their other sections.

I wonder if Kate Lang's nickname will be "Lang Lang."

/\ /\ /\ /\ That was a pretty weak attempt at humor Wolfgang ! I think Lang going to Hawaii was a big win for Hawaii volleyball and RAM. As an incoming Freshman Lang has above average D1 setter skills coming in and is a really good athlete so with RAM's knowledge and experience working with setters this should be a great four years to be a Wahine fan.

Just wondering, will Siena Springborn be on scholarship, or is she a preferred walk-on?
