I feel like they did some kind of post on Kyra Hanawahine. Although, I didn't have the patience to search for it on UH's site I assume Hanawahine was on scholarship. They never do these pressers for walk-ons, even "preferred" or "recruited" walk-ons like Juliana Sanders, or those who were likely to start and later earn scholarships like Tita Akiu. Maybe Hanawahine was only on scholarship for this past season with the knowledge it would not roll over to 2020. In any case, no indication that someone is not coming back so doesn't seem like there are any more scholarships for 2020. Max-Brown is an intriguing prospect, but perhaps moot at this point.

Not uncommon for a L/DS to get a partial, I suspect that's what Hanawahine was working with.
Still need another L/DS for the upcoming season! (Unless somebody is switching positions)

(Unless somebody is switching positions) I thought is saw, or read, somewhere that a L/DS from the south is walking on. Cannot remember her name, but I believe it was mentioned sometime last Spring, or Summer.

Ahhh I was thinking truly partial scholarships by year (Any % chosen) My brain is still in Spring sport season where yearly partial scholarships are much much more common.

She’s no longer a Wahine commitment. She decided to go elsewhere. Speaking of Via, she is now committed to Fairfield. Also former Wahine Shaney Lipscomb will now be playing at New Mexico State next season after two years at Grossmont College

I enjoyed NMSU. They gave Hawaii a run for the money in the WAC some seasons and had some real quality players and great fan base. Not a fan of Jordan’s personality but he really respected the Hawaii program and fans.
TBH tho, I just don’t get why anyone would want to play in Las Cruces.

I don't remember anyone hating Mike Jordan. It's not like he was Brian Gimmillaro, whom Hawaii fans booed.

Always thought Jordan and Scott Robbs looked like Uncle Fester...okay like now I’m hearing the theme song from the Addams Family in my head.

It's not like he was Brian Gimmillaro, whom Hawaii fans booed. I don't think Hawaii fans hated Jordan. He was very confident in his team's abilities and had no problems saying they could beat Hawaii (and they did). Wahine fans were just not used to having competition in the WAC and Mike Jordan's teams were usually very competitive with Hawaii.
