Glad the Khat’s out of the bag. Subtly hinting at this impending transfer has been exhausting.
Lol, was it as personal as the rumors I heard in Lincoln? (I.e. there are hard feelings now)
But this is *good* news. We lose potential depth at the OH position, but we can upgrade a position we really need to.
So many crazy rumors that came out of this saga. I’m just glad she found a program where she can settle closer to home and continue her volleyball career.

Hopefully Nebraska can attract a quality MB transfer, allowing the following things to happen: 1. Push Schwarzenbach, and at a minimum, provide a reliable alternative when a sub is needed. 2. Allow Zuhn to focus strictly on the OH position and hopefully become a reliable alternative to Sun and Kubik, as needed. This is why Sophie Fischer is being recruited to NU.

Sophie Fischer is intending to play OH in college. She'll probably start as an Oppo, because her passing isn't there yet but don't expect her to play MB.

Does anyone think Sophie is a long shot? PSU is needing an OH. If she’s wanting OH and not MB, I don’t see her surpassing Kubik or Sun. I know we need depth, but if she can start right away at OH for PSU, just seems it’ll be tough for Nebraska to snag her

She could get playing time behind Sun in 2020, but then Sun graduates. She would have to compete with Zuhn and other freshman. If her dream is to make the national team, no place better than NE for that.

Hmmmm, you would have thought that with all of those future olympians on the roster, and superior coaching, Nebraska would have managed to take a set off of Wisconsin this year in three tries. Penn State, Washington, Ohio State, Baylor, Marquette didn’t seem to have much trouble 🙄

A really subpar year for NE volleyball. Possibly the wheels are falling off the program, but enough sarcasm. Reality: WI was the better team this year and one of the best 4 teams in the country based on NCAA tournament results to date. Their prospects for 2020 look excellent as well. Regardless a high percentage of NE players go on to extend their careers playing professionally or on national teams. That has a lot to do with NE coaching, which is why NE is an excellent opportunity for athletes with aspirations for playing post-college volleyball; and why Husker volleyball will continue as one of the best programs in the Big Ten and nationally. Jealous trolls will always exist. GBR!

But the truth is NE coaches put a lot of emphasis on developing complete VB players, which explains why many have opportunity to extend their VB careers post graduation. That's not true everywhere at least not as successfully as Nebraska. There enuf trolling the trills. GBR!
