I vote the malefactors are punished, this thread gets locked, and we all move on to the Fall thread.

So it’s ok to support blm, but not the president of the United States? Lol! Not all trump supporters are extremists, just like not all blm supporters are domestic terrorists. I advise you to not even go there...not a great take. I have a friend whose business was burnt down last summer by blm protesters, so it’s a little personal to me. I’m just trying to point out there are extremists on both sides. It just baffles me people are criticizing a young woman for something she posted on another site.

I suspect there are differing conservative vs liberal leanings on the team now. At least that's what I've heard. That used to be part of the college experience, meeting and interacting with people of differing views and backgrounds. Learning to respect others viewpoints. Keeping an open mind. Unfortunately many are labeling people they do not agree with as extremist. Coming to blows over a teammates political views? I would hope not, but if so college has changed, and not for the better. Well, colleges are also WAY more diverse than they were back in the day. It's not a bunch of middle and upper class people talking about trivial political issues. There is absolutely no reason why any person of color should respect anyone who doesn't believe that their life matters. There is no reason why anyone needs to agree and come to terms with a person who ignores science and thinks "masks are stupid" and thinks the pandemic is a hoax. Period. It's a different time. People don't put up with bullsh*t anymore. But anyways, this is not Off the Net and I will stop there (pls don't ban me). This thread should get back on track and start talking about the insane talent in the incoming class. Y'all are building something really special for the upcoming years. I can't wait to see Krause and Batenhorst in the NCAA. I mean, wow, what a class. Husker fans have a LOT to look forward to. Just thinking about Orr, Rodriguez, Krause, Batenhorst, my goodness if I were a D1 coach I would be shaking in my boots. For the record went to college from 1971-76. Small public midwestern university with 5000 students. Lots more than just white middle class students there, not many upper class though, none I knew. Pell Grant's were in full swing allowing many to attend college that would not otherwise. No one differentiated on that. One of my friends was a black guy from the city, I was from a small town. We enjoyed sharing the diversity of our experiences. Unfortunately some of the other black students gave him static for hanging out with whities. They had aderogatory names for him. There were bigoted whites and blacks when I went to college. It was a challenge to get past that. Ok in class, but socially lots of segregation. I thought by the 90's we had moved past that. Know a number of inter-racial families. All was improving. Now we're back to a worst place. Yes black lives matter, but to me it's more that all lives matter. We have people growing up in state supported and self perpetuating poverty. They want out. We need to provide a path. But we differ on how to achieve that. Hard to reach a consensus when we aren't willing to discuss. Am I an extremist believing all lives matter? Yes I agree we need to get back to volleyball on this thread. But more importantly I think we need to talk about bigger issues. I think we will find most of us want the same end, just disagree on how to get there. But that is not for this forum, and I do not know of any forum that is. Social media is segregated by the highly opinionated. Even my family is segregated by politics now. Certainly Congress and pols are not leading us toward consensus, just the opposite, IMO.

well then respectfully you don’t know what you’re talking about. Took the time to go through her page... can someone point out to me the post that has gotten her labeled in here as an extremist ? Again I’m not saying I agree with her, but supporting one candidate over the other does not make someone an extremist. A snippet from the def of extremist “one who resorts to or advocates extreme action.” I looked through the comments and read the captions as well and saw nothing advocating for or taking extreme action on her part. Krause makes her political viewpoints clear on social media and because posters on here agree with her, it’s okay. Koerber does the same and is labeled as unwelcome. If she was an extremist, I would get it. But to me she just seems like a young girl who isn’t afraid to post who she’s voting for... that should be respected as it is when other players do so Thank you. Well said.

Their coach is a Republican, not an insane person. Those posts are actual insanity. Exactly. It's more about how they exhibit it and how deep it goes. Cook is a conservative guy, but it's more about governance and economy and not social reasons. He's supportive of his players who overwhelmingly have different views than he does. I can't summarily say Koerber is too extreme to get along with the Husker roster, but some of her social media makes you wonder. Is she just a conservative that supported Trump as the Republican candidate, or is she a card carrying QAnon member? Ha. She has pictures posted with far right white nationalist personalities calling them her “heroes.” Safe to assume the latter, I think.

Couldn’t find a post where she used the word hero at all but maybe I’m missing it. She did post pictures with two very famous social media conservatives and referred to them as “legends” if that what u meant ? White nationalists is a term people give themselves and is actually a real group of people. Neither of the guys have ever claimed to be white nationalists and have not posted anything related to white nationalism. It can get MUCH farther right than these two guys believe me

Sun 3rd team is insane. She is playing much better than last year when she was 2nd. Honestly she was deserving of first, but minimum 2nd.
