Chill out, he's just asking to see the same matches you are watching so he can make an informed observation. Thats not at all what he is doing. He is trying to make it seem like I'm lying about watching them. Lol what would I get out of lying about it. Parra is a great passer, server, defensive player, hitter and that's just it. Seems like its only a handful of people in here excited to have her coming to Texas

I'll wait and see what data these guys are basing their evaluations on before I share them. Do you have a personal problem with her or do you not want her to join the Texas team? I don't understand where the problem is because you seem as if you don't want her to join the team. Are you even a Texas fan? Or are you just here to hate on Texas? I don't care what anyone has to say parra is the future of Texas and she does it all so whatever vendetta you have against Texas or parra keep it to yourself Still not answering my question. Which matches have you watched? Please link them. Also, as a follow up what grade would you give Parra's passing across those 23 sets for Mexico? Standard 3 point scale, of course. Looking forward to your analysis. horns1 am I a Texas hater? I don't think I am. In fact I'm currently defending Logan as the best underclass OH in the country in another thread. I'm just allergic to @$$%*!*.

I for sure have watched every video and match there is involving parra. Full matches and all and she is a great passer and overall player. She could go to any school in the country next season and start wherever she goes but she chose Texas and Texas chose her which says alot. PARRA IS THE REAL DEAL and it's no question about it You didn't answer my question: which matches have you watched. Please link them. Are...you good? Like...who upset you? She literally plays international ball and starts, which is harder by a lot than nearly any NCAA caliber match. Whatever, it’s not like it matters at this point - what matters is how she’ll play and I’m confident she’ll do great along with most Texas (and big time) recruits. Jerritt doesn’t get paid what he gets paid because he makes errors in recruiting. And he certainly doesn’t because of his exceptional coaching lol. So...go back to your big west team that’s clawing for a tournament birth

Does she pass well though? And are her 8 aces for Mexico a good measure of a consistently tough serve? And what are we basing this on? YouTube highlights or all 23 sets she has played against the best passers in the world? I'm just trying to figure out where this certainty is rooted and understand if anyone has actually bothered to watch every single touch she's had internationally (I have). I haven’t watched every touch, that’s a little far but you do you. I have watched matches she’s played in, and I can comfidently say that most of the OHs in the 2020 class wouldn’t do that well internationally. I also watched her play against the USA youth team this past summer, with all the USA players being either good ncaa freshman and a couple of good prep players. She played very well against that team which almost every player has shown they are good in the ncaa. I am doing me and adding some actual facts to the hyperbole. It's not hard for me to see every single touch of hers because I have every one of her matches coded and graded on my laptop. Again, I'm not saying she's not great, I'm just expecting someone to have a bit more insight than YouTube videos before proclaiming her the second coming.

Whats the difference from watching YouTube matches vs in person? Its no difference at all. I actually do research on recruits and watch full videos instead of just highlights so I can see how they play and there emotion and I know talent when I see it and melanie parra is someone to get excited for PERIOD! she has the entire package and everything Texas needs. She is going to dominate the collegiate level and there is nothing else to say about it

Thats no secret whatsoever but I promise you that if parra were going to whatever team you like you wouldn't be so critical of her. Your probably upset that she is coming to powerhouse Texas and we are going to be even better than years past. Accept the fact Texas will never have a rebuilding year. We get the best recruits every year and its just the normal. I don't know what else to tell you besides the fact that parra is everything and more

Coaches have alternatives to YouTube which involve professional evaluation services and cost institutions 10s of thousands of dollars a year. We don't rely on YouTube videos. I'll post something in a bit that you can have some fun with.

You have to be very special for him to scout you Let alone a player not from this country. ESPECIALLY her being the height she is. Texas recruits undersized outside hitters once every blue moon so you know how good you have to be to get offered a scholarship at Texas Being an outside hitter at the height she is. So at the end of the day she is still going to come to the collegiate level and dominate. She just turned 17 and is already going to be starting at outside hitter for mexico in the Olympics. She is a special player and NOBODY is going to tell me otherwise point blank period

Bigwest, if you have the data on all her international touches, please share. I really appreciate all of your analysis and find it very informative.

What makes you think Parra is a "great passer" or that she has a "tough serve"? her passes are on target about 85% of the time Ohhh wrong poster to go there with. ![](https://media1.giphy.com/media/26u4cS5vSnWyepw6Q/giphy.gif)

I couldn't care less what information he has. Parra is a great player and even when I watched her play against logan eggleston and molly Phillips over the summer she was serving very tough and hitting over the block of logan eggleston and molly Phillips and everyone knows how hard that is based on what they did this season. Nobody is going to tell me she is not a great player. She will start at Texas at the end of the day so what anyone has to say about her is completely irrelevant to me. We can talk all day about statistics because Logan eggleston was not a great passer this season but it doesn't take away from the fact that she is an outstanding player and gamechanger. Same goes for Parra only she is a great passer so it is what it is. Im not about to let someone who is not a texas fan tell me otherwise about a player that is a Texas recruit and he's not even a Texas fan lol makes no sense whatsoever 🙄

If you know his history, you know that his observations are all fact based, and that he actually advocates that Logan was a better passer than most people give her credit for. So don't get so defensive in response to his questions.
