Updated the thread to reflect transfer into Mizzou, possible transfer out of Mizzou, and one move each in and out of TAMU. Keep the news coming!

I am excited to see what happens at South Carolina with Shields and Koehler leaving. Coach Mendoza is really gonna be put to the test with a lot of unproven talent at Setter, Outside and back up middle. Robinson should have a big senior year.

There is only one experienced MB returning for the Gamecocks. After Robinson, they have only Soph Kylee Stokes on the roster. She played in 15 sets in 8 matches all year. Unless they are supremely confident that 2020 signee Ruprich is coming in ready to go, or that Stokes is rock solid despite her limited minutes, look for the Gamecocks to be seeking a transfer MB (and probably OH, though there are options on the roster at pin-hitter). A backup/second setter would also be a likely addition. As noted above, the Gamecocks only have two reported commits and 6 departing players, so there would seem to be some room on the roster for transfers.

On paper, homerun hire by Ole Miss. Seems like the consulting firm got it right with both of the openings in Oxford. I’m not sure - it’s certainly a “win the press conference” home run (but maybe that’s what you mean by “on paper”). It certainly could turn out to be an incredible move by the Rebs! Hiring someone with no HC experience for a P5 job could be a risk, but Busboom certainly seems to be doing well at Louisville. Busboom has far more experience and FAR greater skill set for head coach

I think the transfer market is the way to go with so much experience departing. It'll be interesting to see who Mendoza can bring over to Columbia.

Sophie Fischer to Kentucky! Welcome to the SEC! Whoaaaa! Didn’t see that one coming Maybe because there is a good possibility to move into a starting position right away. Penn State and Nebraska were mentioned as possible destinations, but she might have to warm the bench at those schools for a year or two or more.

I know there was some VT eyebrows raised at her performance ...lack of speed...during the UA All Star game. I saw it too but I don’t believe in letting one game define a player. She’ll be fine. Good for Kentucky!!

The incoming Skinner at Kentucky is the real deal too.

Nice recruit for Kentucky with an already stellar incoming class. Poor A. Skinner, though. Wasn't she a standout freshman year until Stumler came? Now with Edmond gone, there's Fischer, Younger Skinner, and Stumler, or does someone move to the right?
