that match was three hours of hell. where was the adjustment to those two Pitt middles hammering THE SAME SPOT over and over again? where was the service pressure? where was the MIDDLE CONNECTION??? there was no fire to the game at all it just looked like they didn’t want to win. stephanie and regan were the only ones who didn’t look defeated and they deserve SO MUCH BETTER for their last season. getting war flashbacks to losing to Oregon for SSS senior year. so heartbreaking. I would think that being seeded so high, that they would understand that they're going to get everybody's best shot. I get the sense that they treat the big games like any other game. Which, I understand the thinking, but I'm not sure I agree with it.

Yeah, that was brutal. It felt like every time Pitt passed a 3, they put the ball down. Minnesota - not so many 3s passed.
Don't think I have to desire to get back on the game thread - probably trolls having a hay day.
Fingers crossed that Samedy and Pittman come back for the extra season. The freshman would be a bit more seasoned by then. Still need to solve this serve receive though. Getting CC back would be a start.

It was surprising to see Pittsburgh outplay us at the end of games and in set 5. Finishing has been a strength to this team.

This being the first match of the day, now I'm not in the mood to watch 6 more matches. I wonder if I'll ever see them win a NC in my lifetime?

What does Minnesota’s incoming recruiting class look like?

What does Minnesota’s incoming recruiting class look like? Off the top of my head, 2 shorter outsides (5'10?), Natalie Glenn from TAV, and Skylar Gray from somewhere in Minnesota (MN Select?)

Pitt surprised me with today’s win and kudos to them.. Minnesota is still a better overall team to me as who they play often are far tougher teams than Pitt... I like the way the athletes play staying calm under pressure.. personally I think what killed them today was the passing..

What does Minnesota’s incoming recruiting class look like? Some outsides who could potentially help the passing, a 6’4 right side who could fly under the radar and a 6’4 middle who is the #2 high school player in wisconsin No DS/L though. Has been a weakness for a while and it looks like we’ll only have CC and Kilkelly again next year. That hurts especially with how often CC has been injured. Losing Cami Appiani really has hurt us more than people realize

Hard to believe first match of the next season is only about four months away. Would love to see Samedy and Pittman back. If Pittman leaves, I expect Hugh looks for transfer who can actually be part of the offense. The fact that CC didn't even travel with the team is bizarre to me. Hope she doesn't need reconstructive surgery on her knee. Otherwise she's likely out til '22 (assuming she'd take a redshirt).

I'm sure Minnesota fans would love to have Samedy back, but as a USA fan, I would really love to see her go pro ASAP. IMO, she should start adapting to the speed of the pro game as fast as possible to prepare for Paris 2024. While I'm sure Minnesota fans would love to see her lead a team to a championship, I think she's pretty much exhausted everything she could do in the NCAA personally. Of course, it's up to her what she wants to do.

Who do we think is most likely to come back? Miyabe, Pittman, Samedy?
Samedy obviously has the ability to go pro right now if she wants, so that’s probably a - for her.
I don’t think Pittman will go pro because I know she has a lot of aspirations to work with disabled people and host her own volleyball camps... but this would also be her SIXTH year at Minnesota... she certainly has the heart.. but does she really want to go back for a PhD?
Not sure about Miyabe. Maybe she thinks she can get some more playing time if Samedy doesn’t come back?
